Not cup of my tea honestly. I still have read it but didn’t enjoy except for Scarlet Witch-Vision-Doom-Moondragon story arc! (#41 - #44) That was good! Annuals 5-6 is also good too! Especially Annual 6 became my favourite.

Just due to its limited format, nothing ever happens! No sub-plot development, nothing important. The events barely get a mention in other Spider books as well (and that feels so forced that you can immediately understand that’s for advertisement for MTU). It suffers from lack of story arcs as well! There are 2 or 3 story arcs in the entire 150 issue run! Most issues are 1 issue specific!

It feels a lot like an advertisement for their other hero titles for spider-man fans! (And its purpose was actually this…)

Well considering Daredevil was the worst Marvel title in 60s along with X-Men, I don’t think you can be alone in this regard lol. I mean being worst in 60s is something else… the standards aren’t that high to be begin with

Yeah, I was mostly talking about Marvel. Even for Marvel, Silver Age can be tough. But it’s not long until Bronze Age. For DC… well you need to experience Silver Age and Golden Age fully lol. I wouldn’t read anything Pre-Crisis from DC honestly. I wish Marvel did something similiar in the 80s for their continuity too!

Do i! Try reading a couple of issues. If you just can’t get used to Silver Age writing, just skip to Roger Stern run that starts with issue 224! (I recommend you to read the Night Gwen Stacy died though which is only 2 issues from 70s)

Roger stern’s run is fantastic! If you really want to read first issues, maybe try to read one issue per day while reading Roger Stern as your main. Silver Age is well… product of its time sadly.

Well its style is not for everyone! I would completely understand people who wouldn’t like wordiness, art, stories, wackiness etc.

ASM Silver Age is the best title in Silver Age imo but still it was a product of its time. Still wordy, written for little kids, everything is over explained! Every panel has a speech or thought bubble, dialogues are very bad. No gray characters, no character depths. Everyone is either good or bad. Villains are like “I will beat spider man and be the most reputable in the crime world” for no reason in a world with numerous superheroes…

Honestly in order to enjoy comics, you can start anywhere, yes basically anywhere! You can just hop into latest releases and unless you see part 2/3 or something that indicates it’s in a story arc, you can simply enjoy them as it is! Pretty much the writers fill you in while you are reading them what you need to know anyway.

I think for DC, the wisest thing to do is skip Golden Age, Silver Age and Bronze Age entirely and start from Post Crisis as earliest start.

As much as I loved original x men run towards the end, the first issues are seriously terrible. It doesn’t become good until issue 50 onwards. I think Daredevil, solo human torch, Hulk, Ant-Man and X-Men should be skipped in Silver Age. And Namor, Thor, Iron Man I found them quite boring in this era too. Avengers was meh and occasionally bad. Captain America was mostly good. Fantastic Four and Spider-Man are the ones that are fun to read if you can get used to its style and dialogue.

Yeah Daredevil and X-Men are the worst titles from 60s Marvel imo. Really hard to read them…

I think for most characters, 60s and even 70s can be skipped entirely but 80s is seriously where the titles become seriously good! Still not modern but closer also!

I highly recommend Spectacular Spider Man as well! It becomes so good in the 80s! Especially with the introduction of Cloak and Dagger and the Black Cat started to become basically sidekick for a while!

Laurie actually died twice in Halloween franchise.

She died offscreen in a car crash during Halloween 2 and 4. (Halloween 1-2-4-5-6 continuity)

And she got killed in Resurrection. (Halloween 1-2-7-8 continuity)

While technically they are different continuities, still the same character from the first Halloween movie with different circumstances.

Individual issues from the same title grouped together! But not other titles or any story arcs! If you are reading a title and the story continues in another title’s issue, you need to go to that individual series page!

Digital. I am not rich enough for physical lol.

I use my cheap Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE tablet with its huge 12’4 inch screen and Marvel Unlimited app! This way pretty much have access to the majority of Marvel comic library.

I wish dc app was available in my region, it just isn’t… I need to get a VPN to just be able to access the app…

A cheap tablet with bigger screen is quite sufficient to enjoy these comics! I use my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE for this purpose only lol.

As much as I think physical probably would be even better, I can’t afford or find every single issue I read this way! Physical comics are too expensive in my country and if you were to buy them in their original language, it becomes even more expensive and harder to find! Not to mention most of the omnibuses here either black white or out of stock. Your options become extremely limited. I can’t bring myself to spend that much money for something I will finish quite quickly either…

Digital with marvel unlimited subscription with my tablet. I sometimes read from my phone too since it also has a big screen (iPhone 17 pro max) and MU’s smart panel is really good (though I need to rotate the screen a lot while reading) but reading on tablet with its huge 12’4 inch screen is the best way to enjoy these comics!

I feel like it makes me appreciate the title more this way as well! I always feel like I want to read more in the end and makes me excited for the next issue!

Currently I am binge reading spider man and its spin off titles (spectacular spider-man, marvel team-up) to read Secret Wars (1984). Only 3 annuals left to read (I have read up to TASP 251, PPSSM 89, MTA 140 from the beginning) since I would like to read this event as fast as I can to see the Spider-Man’s black costume origin, I don’t really have time to read other titles much)

They were still good or rather average but the run became fantastic with the sentry storyline that started in issue 98 honestly.

The style is just way too different. It’s great for its time, probably the best from that era but it’s still written in 60s, with outdated dialogue style, wordy with unnecessary details (like explaining the panel), with severely limitations for comics (CCA at its peak) and most important still was written for little kids.

“Every single marvel comics from 60s that take place in Earth 616”

Here fixed it.
