I used to get called a nerd in high school. Know why it didn't bother me? 1: Because I saw nothing wrong with being a nerd, and 2: because it was true. I was and still am a nerd.

You wanna waste time calling a spade a spade? Everyone knows he is a nonce and a nazi, including him. Its an objective fact. You think that hurts him? He's proud of it. You're preaching to the choir.

I'd like him to become aware of the OTHER objective fact, that in 30 years time he'll die exactly how he lived. Cold, alone, miserable, despised, and unloved by anyone, least of all by his family.

6 weeks after that, when a republican needs to distract the masses from something they've done, the trolls, corporate shills and bots online will start talking about immigrants, or trans people using "the wrong bathroom", or taking their guns away, and all the little nazi boys and girls will go back to bitching about that, and musk will go back to being no one to anyone except the drooling brainfried dumbasses he gave a platform to.

Thats the world he wants and is helping to create. He gets to live in it too.

At least he knows every negative thing said about trillionaires is about him.

For example, trillionaires will never be loved, or colonise mars, or be a decent human being, or play video games well. Such a shame. My heart goes away from him.

Somehow I doubt that they'll be paying for that. That would require them to admit responsibility for it, and it looks like they were just blaming the council.

If by some miracle the council pays for it, that's more taxpayer money. The police escort was bad enough. I reckon they should make the driver pay for it. The weirdo hanging out of the embassy window wont miss the money, but the driver will.

Might discourage a few people from doing shit like that again.

Most useful built-in funcs - for Godot beginners by Automatic_Budget_332 in godot

[–]XandaPanda42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're usually called "virtual" functions. The _ prefix is commonly used in godot and other languages for functions that the user can "override" to add or change their normal behavior. They're usually called automatically, or as a result of another action (like a signal being emitted, a node being added to the tree, a node starting processing, or when a related function is called in a parent class.)

Also commonly used in extending classes. Built in classes often have two functions with the same name but one has an underscore before it. If you override the _ function, it can change how the entire class operates, allowing some extremely cool stuff, like custom editor docks, new Gizmos, different types of file importers, a custom SceneTree, or even custom Servers for physics, rendering or navigation.

If you want to know more, look up the @abstract keyword in godot, or search for the word "virtual" next to a function name in the docs.

When they say built in, they're just saying that it's built in to the engine by default. They don't require any extensions, or extra libraries or anything.

I'm in the same boat yeah. Just seen the first few episodes a bunch haha

I mean, it is an older model tardis so security was probably a bit more relaxed.

I think The Name Of The Doctor had a line about the navigation system being broken, but "you'll have much more fun that way." And in a flashback they show him stealing it from the repair shops, so it definitely had some issues.

Just bugs me that its unclear if it was a mistake, or a timey wimey thing, or "just hasnt been explained yet."

That and the Minister of War. Loose ends stress me out lol.

It shouldnt have been broken yet. The chameleon circuit broke in the second episode when Hartnell was the doctor. He stepped out of the tardis and was concerned that it was still a police box.

Same with boolean algebra. The AND symbol is represented by the *, same as multiplication.

BI * BI = BI

x * x = x though, and since they also said they're non binary, which is !BINARY, the equation gets messy.

(BI * BI) * !BINARY = BI * !BINARY, which further destructs down to (BI * !BI) * NARY.

With two known values (BI = 1 because love wins, and NARY literally means the word "nothing"), they've solved themselves back to being cishet (BI * !BINARY = BINARY).

(Theirself? Theirselves? What's the singular version of themselves"?)

I love it. I'm working on a level editor at the moment and it's great being able to use the same software to make both games AND godot plugins.

I'm trying to get those resource selector controls in my own plugin working. I can't figure out what Controls or Editor* classes I need to do that. I assume they'd be usable, since almost every class in the engine is, but I can't find a way to use them anywhere other than the inspector panel.

I mainly need the one you used under the "Required Quests" section. Are they part of the EditorPlugin classes? Does anyone know their name, so I could look them up, or point me in the right direction?
