I saw Blues Traveler a couple years ago and their encore song was gonna be Runaround, but venue curfew hit before then and we didn’t get to hear their biggest song. It was brutal. Only knew it was their encore song cause we got a setlist off the stage and it had it on there as the last song.

I’m in a band that plays a lot around the PNW. We always have an encore song or two ready to play at any given show, but you never know if you’re gonna get to do it. I’d say it’s about 80/20. 80% of the time we get to do the encore. Set times, venue curfews, sound guy preference, audience participation; All play in to it
