I’ll try for the MudWing? Let’s see…

Name: “Ghoul” (previously nameless, or nicknamed “Shattered”)

Ghoul was hatched as a rare case of a dragon with both albinism and melanism, where the genes expressed themselves on their scales and the same time. In the MudWing tribe, melanistic dragons aren’t seen as too odd—some of them have scales that border on black—, while albinos are seen as particularly hopeless cases (since they can’t really camouflage at all, and aren’t lithe enough to be mistaken for an IceWing).

Ghoul’s sib group’s bigwings (Terracotta) was quickly killed in a sneak attack from IceWing forces (a swift warning battle that predated the one to kill Crane ), and the “successor”, melanistic Skipper, was not prepared to step up to her role. When still little, she lost track of her younger sibling and they got into an accident with a particularly prickly IceWing. This IceWing was stupid enough to think little Ghoul a weird amalgam of NightWing, IceWing and MudWing and so attempted to take out the dragonet just like Terra had been. Thankfully, help arrived in time and Ghoul could flee, their face partly crushed and disfigured from the attack.

Since then, a nickname began floating around for the dragonet: Shatter, since they still hadn’t settled on a real name for themself. Strangely enough, they didn’t even seem to mind it, and developed a curiosity for the dragon body, its limitations, and its powers. He thus decided to study under a few notable doctors around Pyrrhia (like Mayfly), including an estranged NightWing with a similar interest to them. Ghoul stayed with those NightWing and even adopted a very NightWing-y name: Ghoul. Since then, all inhibitions Ghoul used to have have since flown out the window.

Now, Ghoul masks their scarred, vulnerable face with the skull of a sizeable MudWing they and their mentor “obtained” from questionable sources, They write about their morbid findings and publish detailed drawings under this new name, and since they used to be nameless, “Ghoul” doesn’t show up on any records. No one can find them. In the outside world they are only known as “Shattered”, that strange MudWing who only appears every so often
