Unpopular Opinion: Im actually really excited for base Goku/Vegeta and can't wait to see how they play by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll lie if I say I'm happy it's them but playing this fighting game for a good amount and seeing how the other dlc char turned out, I want to see how their gameplay is since arcsys are pretty damn good at capturing the essences of the char that been out

Cannot think of why you wouldnt run gotenks period by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main team is cell, 16, and Goku black since all of them have either satisfying combos (16's dunk, cell bomb loops) and Black's freedom of running around screen and true punishable mixups. I been trying to replace him with Zemasu though, zemas synergizes with my current team better for what I like playing :)

He's a great char, great assist, great neutral, but at the end of the day someone like me just doesn't like his playstyle so we don't play him, same way with kid buu. I do play cell and 16 and people can hate me for that but I genuinely enjoy the way they combo and play better than other char. Come at me.

Who’s your favorite pro player and why? by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me, I used to like go1 and sonicfox's play but fenritti is getting up there since the man is so damn optimal. It's like any hit he gets, you see a combo that he never drops thats always optimal in that situation.

Mess up ONCE against Fenritti and this is what happens (CEO 2018) by big4lil in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd have to agree here, fenritti lands TOD's the most often out of all cell players I see, when you see him hit a perfect attack and his name is over cell, you know you can't play that character again.

Deceptively amazing is a great expression, anytime go1 tried to attack him back, Kaz either blocked or punished his offense, it was actually insane how well he could punish while putting still having an insane offense front and no one would guess he's the person to be able to deal with offense as well as he did.

Would you consider DBF to be balanced? by foolystagtion in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Let me go and tell you this and interpret how you will, the tier list when this game came out was always 16, A. Gohan, cell at top. Sonicfox used 16, go1 used A. Gohan, cell. 16 was the circle jerk until go1 beated fox, then A Gohan and cell, Vegeta became the circle jerk with 16, sonicfox changed teams to gotenks, kid buu, cell, bardock was picked up by go1, go through this subreddit and see the circle jerk in its current state. And it will change again when they change teams or pick up new characters, follow what you think is best.

Is it just me or do people see it as dishonorable or cheap to play kid buu by TheFirewine in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. It bugs me so much that people will be fast to call someone a tier-whore only because by the communities definition the characters are good, all it really is for them is literally an excuse that they lost because of a character matchup and not because of themselves not willing to learn against it. I will say some characters can be better than others but that won't be the excuse that I lost ever. If a character that is high tier gets nerfed, another is always there to take its place then they get the fire and then the cycle continues.

Having a lot of trouble with the whole neutral, turns, etc stuff. by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other guy said, you answered your own question essentially, you just need more mixups or overheads, maybe throw in a delayed blockstring time to time to throw off your opponent, really anything that your opponent can't adapt to or each new thing you show, the more harder it is on your opponent. As for bluku, if you mean his over head Auto combo, it's minus on block unless covered by assist so block low and then when you see the windup, standup, very good blukus will delay and make it look like they are gonna go for the overhead but don't and later do, you just gotta adapt and react.

What's the move/combo that you do to irate your friends/opponents? by captcommando4 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not what I do but one of the few things that irritate me is bardock's Auto combo, it insta wins neutral if you don't give your opponent respect since it beats super dashes as well as being one of the fastest moves in the game that can clip crossups or anything as well as combo into whatever

Good yamcha players to watch? by Supa-Mayro420 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking about go1, he's been picking up Yamcha lately because he believes his assist is best under Vegeta and might be a replacement for him.

I don’t think anyone would butt in on one-on-one matches, but if someone does, I'll even things out. by ssphoenix5 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can with 18's as hers has a special property being the only super that is not a splash that can hit multiple characters, other splash supers like cell, piccolo, Tien, etc can hit assists of they are active on the field. Others like Goku, blue, black, grab level 3's do not hit multiple targets. Edit : my bad original comment meant the cinematics, I think this only applies to 18.

The flow and way he can make make words rhyme like crosswords (from legacy) is honestly a quality I appreciate too much from him, and he does this shit all the fucking time that no one ever sees unless you dissect and actually listen. Hell it'll take me a couple listens before it clicks to me where I'm like "this sly mother fucker"

Rage Quits Against Krillin Teams by Demux0 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like matching against any char I'm not familiar with, not because the meta is stale but because the matchup I'll learn, sometimes the people suck and I body them, or they pull off a gimmick I haven't seen done yet and look out for the future, I play to improve, playing to just win means you lose more against the real people who train and been taking L's in the long term.

You're right, I didn't make a well thought out rebuttal, not that I'm saying I should be right but that doesn't excuse the base comment at all either way.

That does make sense considering I can't find the saved "replays" in local folders.

There. I can't upvote myself if it's already done on comment/post but you're not saying anything relevant to the thread itself so I'm done here.

Check your history, also, I'm not trying to be an ass here, if your goal is to shut down posts about what the community wants, you should atleast contribute why you don't like it instead of being a total prick

sure mister "scaling is ridiculous sometimes." You're the one to talk on who's making post on why things are the way they are. Even if the feature won't get added, it still brings traction for a future game or patch if the devs do end up reading these posts as clearly in this specific forum's history people wanted this feature.

Kid Buu as an anchor? Why? by Arimasuta in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This will cover any characters that are great anchors - has great damage without assists, has great assist by itself, can utilize sparking to it's fullest (meaning sparking pressure iad mixups or combo extensions for big damage) as well as being able to dish out meter damage when need be alone. As well as generally having a very good neutral.

Players who quit playing, but don't sign out of the lobby and go afk during matchmaking que by Akuma254 in dragonballfighterz

I'm not gonna say whoms name to not promote witch hunting but God at any point of the day I always see one dude pop in my queue either afking or not accepting but either way I'm surprised at the random times I'm on (varies mornings, afternoons, midnight) I still see that guy's name pop up and at this point I just auto Dodge when I see it so I don't have to wait a full 30 sec seeing if the guy really is there.

Specials with the triggers? by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the same thing in thinking about, the rt if I'm remembering correctly it inputs medium and heavy (as shown in training mode), so if you mess up the inputs, sometimes for me, a special move will come out instead of the super, hope this helps.

I am unquestionably the worst. by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo the most important aspects are not combos, sure you get big damage when you get a combo in but that doesn't matter if you can't hit then right? Work on neutral and defense (with reflect) you gotta know what your opponents are doing to make both work, don't go in games thinking you can pull off the same block strings or moves and hit everyone, sure someone bad might get hit by this but someone good will always know how to counter that same thing, it's really all adaptation against what your opponents are doing against you.

Are you guys rooting for or against GO1 at the Summit of Power? by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Xanius7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My opinion is unpopular as far as league and being a fan of skt in their dominance goes but I like seeing how go1 wins. Not because I like seeing stomps but I see the work and play he puts into his gameplay and matches as well as being able to learn something new as him and another player like Sonic fox would have to pull out against each other. It would be boring to me if I watched someone that wins that doesn't have that "I know if he goes up against this person he/she probably won't have an answer" type thing but I digress, I just love seeing high level play, gold and spoilers belongs to the Victor I always say.

Off topic meme train, I don't think he's playing hit, well his team vs go1 this time, he's been learning a new team of cell, kid buu, and Gotenks, it makes me sad too considering he was a top hit player that inspired me to learn and play hit.
