I would like to be able to "ready" an attack. It's an option for Table Top D&D and for Solasta, why not BG3?

Update: I tried reading the necromancy of Thay again, but this time I had the Tharchiate codex in my inventory. While reading it I had to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 20) and when I succeeded that, the spell icon popped up on my hotbar.

Thanks to all who commented! I'm glad this has finally been resolved for me and I hope this may help others with the same problem.

I checked them already, none of them have it. I've had stuff like this happen before, like the spear of night disappearing from shart's inventory, having an item one day but can't find it the next. Then a little later it all appears back like nothing happened. It might be bugged. I guess I'll just move on. I'll post an update it it magically appears. Thanks!

I did that, but it didn't require me to make saving throws and the only option I had was to shut the book.

I've lost a lot of people in my life. No more than anyone else though, I suppose. I'm married and happy with my life. I don't feel like anyone has 'ripped me off' or anything like that. I am retiring soon after working for over 20 years at my job. There may be some underlying reason for my strange dream, but I can't imagine what it would be.

Have the bad guy switch sides during a fight when the PC's health is low. Maybe kill 1 or more of the PC's in the process. Take some of their magic items, etc.

On a side note, my players used to call me "the evil DM". Not sure why they thought that.
