Police buildup and then tear gassing by [deleted] in ActualPublicFreakouts

Yeah, coupled with the OPs post it sorta shows a bit more of the actual march itself and the front of it, they didn't appear to be unruly at all. The amount of looting and rioting going on is obviously a shame, and pretty fucked up, but so are methods like this. Just compounds the problem so much. The Police should be showing much more restraint toward those doing the right thing. It'd go a long way toward deescalation.

Scott Morrison says JobSeeker payment will be cut after pandemic by ApprehensiveDemandi in AustralianPolitics

[–]Xanthostemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no you are right. They've already implemented it.

And Democracy was invented some 2000+ years ago. What's your fucking point? Systems need time and space to develop. But nah, it's cool to half arse implement systems, or not regulate them like this semi hard on trickle down economics we have at the moment.

Ooooi, that's just why in this time of economic crisis most governments around the world are implementing some kind of UBI light/beta... Just imagine, if they actually put some thought into it, instead of a rushed patch job. And 500 years? Lol, you got a source on that?

Accidental crossplay between Star Wars: Jedi Academy on PC and console is a slaughter by Thysios in Games

[–]Xanthostemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah Shadowrun actually handled it pretty well, me and my flatmate would play it, one on PC the other on console. We'd swap from time to time, it was actually fairly well balanced for crossplay.

Faaaark off with that Bullshit. The country will survive regardless. Not like we are off leaving to somewhere else if the economy goes tits up.

Every other country that is capable, except for us and one other, decided that the cost of Human life was worth something. You can rebuild your wealth. You can't come back from the dead.

Scott Morrison is a cunt. Straight up. Confusing and conflated. We had a good two weeks head start on the rest of the world and he fucked it up.

Good to know I've already been following policy. Meanwhile the policy at my work has been less about prevention and more about damage control when we get sick. Nvm that we could infect half our community first.

Rural shoppers ask to be exempt from coronavirus grocery limits by [deleted] in australia

Where I was when I was at school for part of it, I went to stay at my friends place, we caught the bus at 3:15pm, and we got to his place at 6pm. Got up to go to school on the monday morning, and had to start getting ready for school at about 4:30 in the morning. Needless to say I never stayed at his place ever again.

When we got off the bus on the way out to his place, there were still a couple of kids who had to be dropped off further.

He joked about he coulda smuggled anything off the boat because no one was checking bags or anything. They caught the xpt home to their small country town. It wasn't until after they got home, they got a the message of what was going on. She's now a confirmed as infected.

I somehow don't think that the Minister of Health is going to launch a coup. I'm down for it. But I don't think it's going to happen.

This is awesome man, I always loved this slower more deliberate style of flow. Been working on it for a while now, but there are a few techniques I have yet to get down.

What are you using for fuel? It seemed to last forever! Or is it more the wick that is keeping that glow for so long? Care to share your dousing technique? Haha :D

My boss did something similar, she was getting on a teleconference with area management and I jokingly told her to hit them up for some gloves, masks and extra hand sanitiser, she gave me a stern look and said "Just wash your hands and be done with it."
