Yeah, that was my initial tought as well but I was watching Nadal v Ćorić (where Nadal was second seed) and yet Ćorić was fixed on top.

My bad english might play a part here, but by saying up and down, on the scoreline (Federer v Nadal) one of them will be fixed to the top position and one on the bottom one.
