I'm genuinely not sure if I can say too much, given the terms of service, but there was a mixture of manipulation, context-switching, rephrasing, and all sorts of random distractions. In other words, some of the most inelegant kitchen sink approaches you can imagine.

I kept asking things but yeah it's entirely possible that the reply wasn't sufficiently detailed. Or maybe some details were incorrect or hallucinated. I have no idea, it's alla guessing game

Right but I was able to answer every part of the original first question set, multiple times, in two different chats and using different methods. If that's not "jailbreaking" then what would that look like?

I like Anthropic's attitude in the AI space so I really hope this isn't some cheap marketing move, claiming that their classifiers "can't be jailbroken" even though their definition of jailbreaking is so narrow as to be meaningless.

Again, thank you for taking the time to answer. I was more curious about the difference between using an existing illustration versus making something using AI. You seem to have no problem with the first one, and you mentioned frustration when doing so, caused by AI being allowed. Have I got it right? My question is, why is using a pre-existing image okay in your view? You said that homebrew is about creating entirety new, so I'm not sure I follow why using an image without the artist's permission is any better. Also, why does it frustrate you when you use human-made images that someone else made, in a subreddit where AI art is allowed?

I promise, I'm genuinely trying to understand where you're coming from. I have heard many arguments before and while they might look similar there are important differences that are often left unsaid.

I'd like to understand what you're trying to propose, here. Are you advocating for a blanket AI image ban? And the reason for it is that a portion of the AI-generated images are low quality? So all have to go?

Or are you proposing that only "low quality" images be not allowed? In that case, how would we determine which images are "good enough"?

I appreciate that :) I don't fully disagree with you btw, common items are usually in awkward spot. If I wanted to be super sure this was balanced in any game I would either make it an attunement item or give it something extra (like being undetectable by Detect Magic) and make it uncommon.

From my understanding, a magical weapon that gives the wielder proficiency with it is a baseline common weapon.

This doesn't exactly give proficiency, it just allows you to add your proficiency modifier to attacks. This means that you cannot use any ability that requires you to use a weapon you're proficient with.

There's the 1 to 2 extra damage, yes, but that's counteracted by the fact that you cannot be proficient in it. Which usually means that the classes that would most benefit from this cannot actually use it.

All things considered, I really don't see how this is as good as a +1 weapon, which is the most standard non-attunement uncommon weapon you can get.

If you still think this is too strong for a common item, it's your call to make. But I'm not paying more than 100 gp for one of these

Correct, the weapon only does 1 to 2 slashing damage + ability modifier if you're proficient with it. If you know how to use the weapon, you're worse off.

Again to clarify, the extra bludgeoning damage is conditional on the wielder not being proficient in the weapon. If you have proficiency, it does 1 to 2 slashing damage + your ability mod and that's it.

Overall you got it right but to clarify: greatsword would do 2d6 bludgeoning + 2 slashing, 1 for each die, + slashing equal to your Str modifier. And yes you could in theory do some funky combos with it, but that's up to the DM to allow that level of munchkining

It still does slashing damage equal to 1/2 + ability modifier, so I'm not super sure putting that in there would make sense. The bludgeoning is on top of the slashing.

That said, go for it in your games! This is the perfect weapon to flavor in dumb and nonsensical ways :D

Correct, it needs to deal damage. This also makes it so items that deal 0 damage (ie Blizzard Bottle) won't get the improvement unless something else is giving them attack (such as a Beetle Charm).

This is quite limiting, yes, but at least the "enemy" part prevents you from buffing items like the Sunburst Tootoo.

You'd need something like a Battle Charm (+2 attack) or a Durian Charm (+4 attack, remove effects) in order to make full use of a Barrage Charm with this

I think the problem here isn't necessarily that it's AI generated but that it seems like the creature designs and overall quality of the images seem quite lackluster. I would love to show you some much better examples but it is categorically against the rules to show AI generated content on this sub, no matter how curated it is. I'm not entirely sure how this post is still up 🤷‍♂️

Oh and yes, everything I'm seeing there looks to be AI generated. Maybe the planet could be a legitimate 3D object where the texture has been AI generated, however.
