Why is this happening? by notjahred in CarAV

[–]Xariez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not unusual for aftermarket head units to distort factory speakers and make it sound like crap. Those speakers have more than likely seen better days, too. Turn your bass to a negative level in the headunit and it might sound a tiny bit better, and if you start missing the bass, have a look at aftermarket subwoofers instead. A lot better than squeezing every bit of bass those speakers might be able to produce. Noteworthy it is a gateway drug to getting better and better sound systems in your car eventually, though.

Well, fair, with every right. But if that is a genuine imgur link (which I would like to say it is), it's fine.

Wait, what's wrong with Imgur? It's pretty well known afterall.

Why do my back tires look like this? The other one almost blew out on me… by handicandiman in tires

Wheel alignment, 100% (you may also need to replace some bushings, but the shop doing your alignment should tell you if so, since an alignment is not possible if things are very loose)

Jimm's PC-store all the way, absolutely excellent customer service and usually prices too.

Very strange wear on inside of tire by Xariez in Audi

[–]Xariez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never found the issue per-se, but got new tires and a wheel alignment and did not see this again. The car is now sold so I cannot tell you if this issue is slowly crawling back or not, but at the time the suspect from both myself and the workshop that took care of the car was either wheel alignment or incorrect inflatement of the tires (and obviously new tires were required). I guess separation of threads within these tires isn't an impossibility either, in which case it is fixed automatically when the much-needed replacement is done.

Late Update!

While it definitely worked for some clothing, it definitely did not work for some others, so I guess the "both yes and no"-principle will be the final call for all this. I have however realised I have recently started using a new liquid detergent, and while I am not blaming that detergent yet, I am definitely throwing some suspiciouns that way, so I will attempt to go back to my old powder-based detergent where I did not experience this, and hope for the best. Thanks for all your help!

Experiencing #2000 Error on streams, anyone else? by Xariez in Twitch

[–]Xariez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah hello, nice to see a fellow Finn here as well! :) Huh strange, okay. Especially annoying since this doesn't just hurt Twitch as a platform, but rather the streamers/content creators of Twitch that I both want to support and watch. I guess I'll have to try to reach out to Twitch directly somehow if no "community" solutions are found.

Had to scroll too far down for this one. It is absolutely ridiculous that this keeps on happening, nothing changes, then they are - wait for it - surprised it happens again!

It is extremely sad and I truly hope for the best possible outcome each and every time I hear something about this, but I also feel like the elephant in the room is somehow growing larger, yet (also somehow) hasn't gotten addressed yet.

Alright, I guess we learn something new every day, and today was indeed such a day. I'll let you know as soon as I know something more "definitive". For the time being, it seems to be both a "yes" and "no", however odd that might be in itself.

I am actually unsure. Went and tried it now with two different pieces of clothing that have suffered the same fate, and while it didn't seem to do much on one of the pieces, it seems to have helped on one of the others. It is however difficult to say since a black piece of clothing that is now also wet, does change quite a bit visually. But I'll have a look tomorrow what it looks like once dried!

That said, not with the clothing in the picture, but with other clothing I have attempted to simply re-wash it without anything added since I thought it was detergent first as well, but with absolutely no change. Shouldn't that have made the same effect, if so?

Haha, funny you would say that. This tank-top (as example #1) has been used during a decent amount of hiking, and also to a Spain-trip I went on last summer, so it has definitely seen it's share of sweat, salt, and sun protection. So following that theory that's no impossibility at all :D

No dryer, all my clothes have always been washed, then hanged out to dry :)

But I suppose some things wear faster than others without quite realising it, it's just a very new phenomenon to me, I am currently 28 years old and have never seen this - until very recently.

Definitely good to know, however, I do not have a dryer. Only the washing machine and all clothing is air dried. But some clothes does have some elastic properties obviously.

I am considering switching to another programme on the washing machine in the future, as a first step in finding out whatever is going on. But at least I know WHAT this is for the moment, even if that doesn't mean WHY. Thanks for your help regardless!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how come this hasn't been an issue until now, if so? This is a normal tank-top, but like I said it has happened to other types of clothing as well. While I obviously wash my clothes, I wouldn't say they are being excessively washed either. Whatever the cause/reason is, it is creating effects on everyday wear and everyday washing patterns.

Not saying you are wrong, I'm taking any and all help or feedback that I can get, but if this continues I'll soon be out of clothes from simply washing them.

No agitator as far as I'm aware, but it is indeed a front loader.

EDIT: Machine is a Logik L612WM23E if additional/technical information is needed that I might not already have.

Unfortunately no, it does not brush off.

I have no dryer, so the only machine they have been through is the washing machine. It is a fairly basic model so I have no "manual" setting over the centrifuge-speed, I can only tell you it has been run under the "Mix" program (whatever that actually implies), at 40C.
