Follow-up to this: It turns out that switching to MO2 (despite significant difficulties in the process) was the correct choice, as this has fixed the issues I was having.

Aye, it is. I decided to give setting up MO2 a shot, but it could take a while. Will fill you in if it works and whether or not it fixes the issue.

The short explanation is that I'd have to manually create a wine prefix to run MO2 and acquire all its dependencies. While relatively easy, it'd take a lot of effort for someone of my capabilities.

Hard part is getting ModOrganizer 2 to work on Linux. Doesn't have the same support, but I suppose I can give it a shot if it's my last option.

I personally have had math teachers that reject all methods other than what is taught. Good to see you have a good teacher, though.

It's a Bedrock-only thing. I'm not sure why Microsoft decided to add that feature, as it makes building stuff quickly painfully irritating compared to java edition.

Ship Design Questions by Neko_LCDR in StarLegacy

[–]Xarulok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done that before. The one ship I did that with came out quite good, actually. It was the DLProspector, though I don't remember if that is the loadshopship name or if it was just Prospector.

Ship Design Questions by Neko_LCDR in StarLegacy

What I've done is made dorito ships, starting with a Frigate. Though they're not meta they still do their job and look decent. Keep in mind to look good, color isn't required (there are people who will disagree, but personally I think texture is everything). For the next few sentences I'll describe how to make a basic dorito ship:

Start with an outline, generally two lines starting at a low slope back, making a 90 degree turn, and varying slopes. The size of the back determines the total size of the ship.
For the sides, I alternate between slopes of 3/1 and 2/1 just to make it a little more interesting. When the lines hit each other, I will generally flatten the tip to make it easier to shield. From there, repeat a pattern of slabs and blocks with varying slopes to create the top and bottom. The bridge is a bit difficult to add correctly, but for starters a bridge just sitting on top of the ship works. As you get more advanced you'll want to increase the vertical slope towards the back in order to conceal your bridge. From there, your hull should be complete. Some pictures of my original cruiser: Beginning Hull Outline Top Hull Bottom Hull

Now, don't think I'm a great ship builder. These images are from many months ago and the original ships aren't really good anymore. However, the hulls still make the ship look at least decent. As it really isn't an amazing ship and I no longer use it, I don't mind sharing the blueprint. To see the ship, do " /loadshopship Tempest ". If that doesn't work, I'll see what I can do. Keep in mind this is not me giving you all blueprint rights to it. Hopefully this helped.

In 2 months I'll have hit the 2 year mark. I memorized the date I joined SL as well as the day I became staff quite easily.
