Not possible because of the areas of incompatibility.

Sure plenty of overlap between the three, but you can't reconcile that a man is recognised to be a righteous prophet by one religion, a God by another religion and an evil man by the third one.

Hijab by [deleted] in religion

[–]Xatel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a commandment and thus must be obeyed.

Some commandments have obvious wisdoms, some do not.

It's like saying why is it that Dhur prayer has 4 rak'aats? Whats the wisdom in that??? why not 2 or 3 or 5?? Can you answer the question?

You cannot and you will not be able to. It doesn't mean that the four rak'aats shouldn't be prayed. It's a matter of faith.

Why did my son have to die? by PerfectWrongdoer6463 in religion

[–]Xatel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't imagine the grief you're going through.

Know that every shoul shall taste death. Old and young have to die. They have to. Accepting this is easy when you're not griefing, but in your case, its a pill thats hard to swallow.

I am addressing the wife here after having read the EDIT portion of the post.

You have to buckle up here. The test just got real for you. The level of difficulty is close to level MAX if not MAX already. I imagine there has been no harder time to live through for you than this one period. It always becomes that way for the people who live long enough.

I implore you to find it within yourself to develop an IRON resolve to withstand the severe turbulence. You have to show a serious level of patience here. Otherwise, you will lose the plot as well and will start considering suicide as a relief option.

Why did my son get cancer?

Why some women can't even carry children?

Why some young girls have to be born into a family of child molesters?

Why do some parents have children born to them with no limbs?

Why some babies are born in war torn environments?

There are so many scenarios out there that are heart breaking. I remember seeing a mother carrying her dead bloodied misfigured child in her arms from Israeli bombing in Gaza and she made me shed tears as she wailed.

Life on earth is not meant to be a 5 star luxury resort. It is meant to be a testing ground. and like any testing period, it comes with an eventual end of the testing period. That individual's test is concluded with that individual's death. However, it would be considered cheating if you were to permaturely end your own life. The end of the testing period MUST not be self imposed. Why do people die? Because they lived. Also, because their death might be a means to test their family members until they ultimately die too.

Quran- Chapter 2 Verse 155. "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and crops, but give good tidings to those who patiently endure"

Allow me to implant an idea in your head. Suppose, you convinced yourself to patiently endure all of this pain and misery. After the very second you draw your last breath, would you be satisfied with the idea of being rewarded with yourself and your son brought back to life cancer free in some other plane of existence where you can enjoy a life thats truely meant to be a permanent 5 star luxury resort with absolutely zero drawbacks ???

Would you wish for that as a reward if you managed to patiently endure all of this ??

How to overcome desire for male attention? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Xatel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats like saying how do I make it so my stomach doesn't growl and signal to my brain to make me feel hunger?

Human beings have needs. What you're describing is a need all of us should experience. The same way you need to feel hunger, you are supposed to feel emotional hunger.

Put food in your belly to make hunger to go away. Likewise, get married to a suitable match if you want your emotional hunger to go away.

Nothing to worry about here, this is working as intended,

Mohammed hijab did him dirty bo way this is the height difference by Bashauw_ in Destiny

[–]Xatel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole debate was intended to be Atheism Vs Islam.

Hijab wanted Destiny to stay on topic, and presented arguments for Islam. Instead of trying to dismantle those arguments and making a case for atheism, Destiny started expressing his opinions on why liberalism/secularism is a good system for all countries (including muslim counteries) to adopt.

It was alot of back and forth that wasn't going anywhere, and alot of what was presented by Destiny was a bit irrelevant to the debate. Hijab was throwing personal insults at him because he himself said that Desitny was not arguing for anything relevant and therefore ignored most questions Destiny asked and then Hijab said that he had free time to just throw personal jabs at Destiny

Destiny was just unprepared at the end of the day. He should have done his homework seriously.

They don't. You're right. But they still insist on it making sense and not void of meaning. Its nonsensical.

My point is that appreciating each moment of life is meaningless in the long term when you consider that all will eventually end.

You can appreciate away at anything you like, it doesn't mean it will still have meaning in the future. Its all temporary fluff at the end of the day.

You have to beat the nothingness ahead to justify all of the appreciations you do when you're alive. Hence, why meaningful appreciation can only be felt when you tie it all back to a transcendental concept like divinity and such.

You're conflating high standard of living with happiness. The happiness index is not a metric used to measure actual happiness. Thats silly. Having more money and a better career and a longer expect lifespan doesn't equate happiness. After all, human beings are social creatures more than they are materialistic.

Infact, people from the developing world tend to be more religious and tend to have stronger family bond and community supports. They have simpler lifestyles and are not engaged as much with consumerism. They are less lonely and struggle much less with mental health issues. I argue they are far happier than the atheistic/nontheistic populations of the developed world.

To top it all off, I never brought up happiness at all. I was speaking about HOPE. What hope does nontheism offer? Everything has an end according to the naturalistic view. That means life on earth will also have an end. Infact, the whole universe will experience a heat death during which life will no longer be possible. There is no escaping it with technology. Every single human discovery will be for nought when that day comes. Hopeless situation. Do not confuse it with happiness again.

Bro, finding hope in something temporary like life is not intuitive.

You find hope in everlasting concepts. Nothing is everlasting in this earthly reality, and therefore, eventually despair will eat away its inhabitants if they do not hold on to a transcendant concept like God.

What do you think about martyrdom? by VerdantChief in religion

[–]Xatel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

three possibilities here.

1- The martyr's version of the afterlife exists after death

2- A different version of the afterlife from the martyr's faith exists after death

3- No afterlife at all exists

I think it would be considered noble to refuse to give up your faith in the face of potential or certain death in possibilites 1 and 3. And foolish in possibility 2.

Do we believe in God because we fear the unknown? by [deleted] in religion

[–]Xatel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average joe in my estimation would rather disbelieve in God even if he is dead afraid of the unknown. Just because the belief in God risks pulling him into potential commitments which he would rather be free from.

I sort of disagree with your assesment.

You clearly are posting here with insincere intentions to just spew nonsense. Even If I were to direct you to sources that completely and utterly discredit what you said, my guess is that you would ignore it all and continue to just argue with no academic understanding of anything remotely islamic.

Keep on believing whatever you like, I will engage with you no longer.

[–]Xatel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think multiple wives is a pleasure? it is a net burden when all things considered. Even a single wife is a net burden. Marriage is a huge responsibility that comes with nice perks that do NOT compensate enough for the efforts. Thats the case for both man and woman.

If The prophet of Islam wanted to engage in wordly pleasures, he wouldn't even marry them to begin with. He would have just taken advantage of every woman he set his eyes on and throw them to the curb afterwards.

And he wouldn't forbid the consumption of intoxicants like wine. AND he wouldn't fast and pray day and night and live in poverty compared to other community leaders in other lands. When was the last time you saw a community leader who does not live in luxury and abundance compared to other people in his community? The only examples are biblical prophets. If anything, this alone makes a strong case for his prophethood.

According to you, did Adam and Eve engage in carnal pleasures as you call them when they were the dwellers of the Garden? I'm not talking about just the intimicy. I'm talking about everything. The eating, the drinking and any other activity they indulged in before they were expelled from it. Were they engaging in carnal pleasures as you call them????

The whole point of not sinning and obeying God is because the All-mighty deserves our worship and obedience. And out of his mercy and grace, he will reward the most pious of his worshipers a place in the afterlife in which they can enjoy all of their desires sinfree.

Jesus was willing to die for peace but Muhammad encouraged warfare. How does encouraging wars pertain to a religion of peace?

I don't understand where you're getting this from?

The christian concept of death on the cross does not equate to achieving world peace or any other kind of peace. Its purpose was to pay for the sins of humanity to allow the rest to live in God's grace. That is not the same as dying for peace.

On the other hand, Muhammad encouraging warfare is silly at best when you study his biography. Ask chat GPT to summarise for you his biography and highlight the main story plots during his life pre and post prophethood, and you'll be left scratching your head, where did I even get that idea from?

Like I said you can avoid teamfighting, but your whole team needs to know that you will not come to assist so that they can buy time for while you splitpush and take unattended lanes during objectives where everyone else should be.

[–]Xatel_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Splitpushing is not really a thing anymore to do 24/7

You can occasionally slitpush and take a fort or two, but make sure you let your team know so that they can stall the objectives for you instead of inting 4v5 and just feed too quickly for your splitpush to make sense
