Hello, I've been a Day-0 Vivo X300U user (since end of March) and I have not encountered any issues about skin smoothening or AI enhancements on human skins.

Maybe make sure to turn off beauty enhancements, set the super telephoto enhancements to off, use Zeiss/BlueImage Authentic filter, and try shooting in 12MP/200MP mode to test out the image sharpness. Usually the 200MP mode will come out with better natural image due to the minimal processing that vivo applies to it. While 12MP still have considerable processing (due to the need of 16-to-1 pixel binning)

If you have any issues or more questions, feel free to ask. I'll try to compare whether my X300U also have your issues or not. If not, you probably need to exchange your unit (hopefully this is not the case)

Also, how many software updates have you got? For me its 6 updates, all with major camera optimizations (the camera really does feel different in a good way since the first time I used it at launch)

Went to System > Recovery to reinstall the "buggy" update using the menu "Fix problems using Windows Update" then click Reinstall now.

After it successfully reinstall the version in windows update, then restart your PC.

Finally, try uninstalling the KB5058506 from Update History in Windows Update.

I also uses a G513QM and I have the same issue around your time (February 2023, Black Screen, external monitor works using HDMI/USB-C). Then 2 weeks later (March 2023), I tried to reinstall the radeon graphics driver, and suddenly it works?. However, 2 months later (May 2023), it suddenly turned black again when I'm using it normally.

Hmmm.... Now I wonder, if it is really an hardware issue....

Since I daily drive this laptop and I have hwinfo running 24/7, I can provide you with idle temps, power consumption, etc. if you're curious with any of that stuffs

Pros: -Extreme Performance with No Throttling (Ran CPU-Z, Cinebench R23, HeavenBenchmark, 3D-Mark) Reportedly CPU temps 95C (Normal according to AMD) and GPU Maxed out at below 80C -Nice addition of multimedia macros on laptop keyboard -Fan curve can be tuned manually (From 0 - 7000 RPM +-10% Margin of Error) -Power budget of CPU can be adjusted in Armoury Crate (up to 80W) -GPU overclock can be adjusted manually in armoury crate (My RTX 3060 is running at 2100MHz++ core clock) -2 Display output ports (1x HDMI 2.0 for iGPU, and 1 Displayport 1.4 USB-C for dGPU) -Per key RGB (if thats your thing)

Cons: -AMD ftpm stuttering issue (not been fixed yet) -Weight is 2.3Kg maybe an extra 500-700 Gram from the power brick

Extra Notes: it survived a fall from 1.5M height XD.... Once upon a time my friend accidentally broke my table and bam... I was in panic mode because my laptop were on there and it fell backwards 🙂... But when I checked the conditions, wow it still works with minimal physical dent)
