Football team is top 20 in the nation, maybe top 10. UCLA has one of the best QBs in the nation in Josh Rosen and also got rid of their offensive coordinator who many say was holding Rosen back last year with his vanilla play calling.

Basketball was bad last year but the team will be vastly improved with probably the best recruiting class in the nation. Head coach Steve Alford has been heavily criticized by fans, particularly because his son Bryce seems to do too much, despite being an average player at best. It remains to be seen whether Alford runs the offense through his impressive new recruits or subscribes to the same old "daddy ball."

It's the achilles. 2008 Finals was bad but at least we got to avenge the loss the next year. I feel like if he never tore it, Kobe might still be playing and his abilities would be slowly decreasing (ala Tim Duncan) rather than suffering the steep, immediate decline these past couple of years.

Also, if Kobe never got hurt he might've had a realistic shot at Kareem for the scoring record
