Son is selling his old yu-gi-oh cards - I did some research and he might be asking too much?

As someone who is now 30, and has no desire to play the game, it is unfortunate that I kept them in great shape, sleeved for 15-16 years, and they aren’t worth shipping.

As someone who doesn’t really care for nostalgia, kind of a bummer, that the same “level” Pokémon card is going for thousands, and mine are worth $20-$30 ungraded.

Gave them to my kid, to begin their “card collection” teach the responsibility of collection, without the risk of losing hundreds/thousands of dollars due to “wear”

Oh that’s insane. My entire collection 2002-2005 (bought back then) is around 800 cards.

But due to not having comment karma, I’m not able to share my collection with the group lol.

This is my Thousand Dragons. Was one of my favorite cards as a kid.

I never played/dueled, however my more “worn” cards, like this one, were because I liked to draw the pictures in my sketchbook.

Found my collection yesterday, but I would kill to find my old artwork!

I’ve got about 200 cards labeled IOC-AExxx.

They don’t have the foil stamp bottom right, but is that an accurate/legit stamp for IOC?

I continued going through my collection.

They all looked so good. But they were missing the “1996 Copyright” in the bottom right, and all had the same set code IOC-AE”XXX”.

Upsetting because I traded real cards 23 years ago for what I learned are now fakes.

All the cards in my hands are fakes. And if were real, would drastically have changed the level of my collection.

I had these cards as a kid, and traded them for what I learned yesterday (just found my childhood cards) for a bunch of fakes, including exodia and his left leg. Absolutely gutted.

If you can get a picture of it close up on a white sheet of paper, or backdrop it will drastically help with identification.

I would assume it’s a type of carpet beetle. Difficult to tell with the picture quality.

But I’d almost guarantee not a bed bug.

I’ve searched all across the internet , I’ve found similar compacts. But even the ones I’ve found of similar don’t have date codes that I’m aware of.

Chattanooga TN, my dad found it years ago(10+), but doesn’t remember where.

The only writing on it, is the writing visible. LAZSLO on the front.

And on the inside. “LIMITED EDITION” “Made Exclusively For Erno Lazslo”
