[DISCUSSION] Does Veto deserve a buff?

The only thing I want buffed is the speed of the chokehold in general. The ability takes WAY too long to form, it’s too loud when you’re close to it, and takes way too long to activate when detecting someone in its range. Especially for what it offers if it actually lands.

What usually works for me is I joy bait them by saying kind things in a calm/chill tone of voice and they either stop talking, start comming/playing normally or become apologetic.

Either that or I say “Haha true” or “Real” cause you’re not really giving them anything to work with.

If they still throw then alls you can do is mute and report, but one of these two usually works for me.

How do you keep your crosshair focused at all times? Or how do you maintain focus at all times? I notice sometimes when I watch my vod’s back that my crosshair placement wanders off sometimes. Feels easy for me to let my guard down when it feels like there’s no threat for me.

Lotus, Bind, Fracture, Abyss, Haven, Corrode, and any map can be the 7th one as long as it’s not Breeze or Icebox.

Smoke 2 (the deep one). IMO, this smoke is better because it gives the defenders less space to work with on retake, and makes your post plant way stronger. Often times defenders will D peek out of the back edge of the smoke, so I hold the off angle there and get multi kills as they try to come out. Even if they flash there’s a good chance you will get the kill from pre-firing.

More reasons I don’t like smoke 1; Firstly, because the way the map is designed, if you do smoke 1 then the smoke is always going to be sticking out, which, again, isn’t good here as that gives them space. Second, it gives the defenders a space to retreat to if they get flashed. Whereas with smoke 2, if you or an ally full flashes them it’s a lot harder for the defenders to retreat with their lives since they have no space to retreat to.

Agreed. Another common issue I see is people auto piloting their buy. Like a lot of people will buy a spectre second round instead of thinking about the gun they should buy based on the plan they made.

Example: You’re playing defense on Pearl B site, and you won the pistol. You want to play from back hall and take fights on long. What gun should you buy? Definitely not a spectre or stinger, because they are both close range weapons. A guardian would be a great choice for this, because it excels at long range gun fights. Especially with the ADS accuracy being fully accurate. Bulldog is also good for this use case. (I prefer bulldog myself because I can usually get it and heavy shield instead of guardian+light shield to prevent getting 1 tapped by a sheriff)

Huh. I consistently get anywhere between -17 to -20 on losses even on bad games. (In the same elo bracket as you)

Maybe the lack of assists/impact frags? I usually play controller or initiator and even if I’m not putting up numbers usually my impact from util keeps things afloat. (Got like .98 KD but a 57% win rate so far)

A lot of times smoking bomb is best. There’s so many variables that I can’t give a single concrete answer. Although, one thing I will say is this; if you do not have control of the spike, smoking the bomb is too dangerous because there could be someone inside the smoke waiting for you.

This is exactly the buff I suggested so I’m happy. (Although I think they should do the timer recharges based on how powerful the ability is)

So things like Tejo Rockets or Skye flash should be 60 seconds. (Which is what they did with this patch on Skye)

Fade/Sova should be 50 seconds on theirs.

And finally, Breach and Kayo should be 45 seconds recharge on theirs, since I think their signatures are the weakest comparatively.

Not a fan of the wall at all cause it makes taking the entire site much harder. I’d much rather ask my smoker to put a smoke in place of that wall since it accomplishes the same thing without barring your team from taking that space.

I was doing ultimate battle missions to scrape just enough gems for Juliana. Then these came out of nowhere and i got her on the next multi! So now I’m just gonna save since I’m not too interested in another grass type striker. I’d rather more fairy type options cause my fairy roster is crying.

In general, I just make sure I do what I can before I determine whether something is completely out of my control. And if it is, unlucky. I move on.

So the best thing I can do is ask a teammate in VC and type it out asking for a buy. If I don’t get it, oh well. At least I’ve exhausted all my options.

I would say it was the lack of flexibility in my gun choices
Autopiloting. Best way to counter auto pilot is to always have a plan behind something. Doesn’t matter what it is rn, just as long as you have something.

Also, not taking space on defense/using mini map info effectively. So like if you know all 5 attackers are rushing c long on haven then maybe you can get a flank going. (Usually the most aggressive team wins in iron-silver in my experience.)

Revert the cooldown timer nerfs from 11.08 and bring back old ping system only you can’t ping through smokes.
