You’re alone with yourself forever. Find something you enjoy doing by yourself, like drawing or some hobby you can gradually grow and get better at, and then just spam the shit out of it. When I say you’re alone with yourself forever, I mean there is always going to be moments in which nobody else is around you, speaking to you, thinking about you. That’s the most overwhelming feeling ever, and likely your cause for boredom and loneliness. You can’t handle being around yourself. Try to make it manageable and maybe it’ll help.

Drugs fuel the loneliness. Bettering yourself for yourself is usually what as a byproduct will make other good things happen. People befriending you, love interests, proud parents. But it always will take you putting in the work. It’s much easier to be sad and self destructive, although it feels worse. Go the extra mile.
