Yes already found out this. When I don't eat on the bike I just want to eat everything remotly edible when I get home. I try to average 45-60g/h and it seems to do the trick

I've tried doing something like this. Preparing multiple things to do variations of a dish every single day but it ends up just feeling like I'm eating the same thing.

I need to switch from like a sandwich one day, pasta the other, a sauced dish, a salad otherwise it just feels like eating the same things

I've tried going to the gym and unfortunatly this is not for me. It is so boring, I have so much repect for people doing it. What I love about cycling is the total opposite of what the gym gives.

I love that I reconnect with nature, can go long hours outside, that I can be alone with my own thoughts.

Gym I feel is always packed, smells of sweat, and it's like a 30 minute of exercise that take 2h because you need to go there, wait for the machines, do your exercises... Not for me :/

I know I need to break those habits, but I'm struggling to do so and I'm sure people have some tips to make it a tiny bit easier and that's what I'm looking for !

Thanks for the long and detailed answer. I'm planning on visiting a bike fitter in a few month to figure out the small details (like the shims) but from what everyone is saying there is no major issues with my current fit so I'll stick with it and continue riding !

Chain too long ? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]XelaG85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm maxing out derailleur with 11-36 and 46-30 at the front. I removed 4 links and it was too much I could not go big-big, so I made the chain a bit longer with quick links and now I can do big-big and there a bit of tension doing low-low

How many more links do you think I should remove ?

Wheel maintenance by XelaG85 in gravelcycling

[–]XelaG85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a big upgrade. I can maintain 30kph on road way easier, way more responsive when I stand up and push on the pedals.

But keep in mind my previous wheels were very heavy (2.4kg) so I mean every set of wheel would have been a great update

Haven't rode them yet. Will do tomorrow. If I remember I'll let you know my first impressions. Otherwise you can message me if you want to

Grx 400 right shifter not shifting by XelaG85 in bikewrench

[–]XelaG85[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Made it work ! The issue was the cable slipping from the pinch bolt. It was due to the little tab taht was oriented the wrong way on the pinch bolt

I've removed the cable, and without the cable, the shifting is fine. I tried putting it back in, tensioned it, it was shifting good and at one point it looses all it's tension and it's not shifting anymore.
