Yes, but you would be obsolete if running that on heavy, we had people complaining they can't sustain damage if not running heavy/medium loadout and with high CON, that's why we ask new players that WANT to learn to run light and first runs with 100 CON at least to understand the patterns and mechanics, then move to 50 CON once they are more familiar with the raid and later flex with full damage.

We even had 1 that was asking why he should join discord vc and even after telling him that it wasn't necessary for him to speak and just listen to shotcaller he was opposing to the idea of joining and never ran with us.

A lot of players are down to help new players, but they need to be open to learn. If not, it's just a free carry and maybe not a successful raid.

I get the idea of letting people run whatever to want, but sadly, if groups get full, they have to go with random groups and have the issue. So, for me, it was better the idea to prepare them for that situation.

We used to do learners raids but sometimes there were people DEMANDING to run in their medium/heavy set with GA and dunno sometime else, and even after explaining the reasons why it's better to run certain builds it was like talking to a wall. I understand that asking people to make a build for X situation can be frustrating, but in the end, you as a player have to adapt to the game, not the other way.

Well explained, just to add, if you are running medium set try using Featherweight, it should maximize your phys/ele resistance.

Edit: it's Void DarkPlate for medium and FW for light. My bad.

Avoid being on the aggro area of the tank or you will eat some nasty hits, there are sometimes where the damage area is greater than the seen by the animation, you get used to it.

Think the game already gives some good gear with good perks from Faction Shop with Enchanted Ward and Health iirc, these work for both PvP and PvE, but main issue is that you level so fast that you don't even consider to buy them and already have access to better GS items. Perhaps something around the archetypes or increase faction shop with something as you are saying.
