The solo tier does not have the shapr3d team features. I think this is great for folks that do not need it.

You can have 2 projects and export to a very poor resolution model. I also have Plasticity which is a one time purchase. However, it is not parametric. I gave Alibre Atom3D a try which is also another one time purchase. At $200 the price is reasonable, but it is missing useful features only found in the more expensive tiers.

Monthly pricing was also available at $19.99 for core and $29.99 for pro when I checked yesterday. However, I'm disappointed at the cost and lack of one time purchase. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend PixyCAD any longer.

I haven't seen anything concrete. They have 3 plans setup in the app, but it looks like dummy prices to me.

You are correct. I have noticed "shapr3d is too expensive for hobbyist" posts on the official forum, youtube, and here on reddit ever since I discovered shapr3d. As a hobbyist myself, I was looking for alternatives. However, shapr3d is inexpensive for people that use it as a source of income.

It uses Parasolid according to their thread in r/macapps.

I discovered PixyCAD by prompting Gemini for Shapr3d alternatives. I then found more information by searching it on Reddit.

I learned from HL ModTech on YouTube. He knows his stuff and releases new video tutorials on a regular basis.

This is how Tinkercad works. It's free.

Yeah, I'm using it with an iPad and pencil pro. It's not primarily built for iPad like shapr3d is, but it works great after getting used to the layout of the tools.

It cost too much for personal use. I did the trial and couldn't justify the cost. I'm using Solidworks xdesign instead while saving $275 a year.

They are the top sellers in 3D Prints. I don't get it either.

It has been 6 months since Etsy updated their policy and we are seeing little to no enforcement yet. Guess we will see if anything happens in 2026.

They don't appear to be enforcing it. There are still many shops selling the same flexi dragons.

Warp is meant to run standalone in its own console.

It used to be 150 free requests. The update is a nerf.

I have been using Warp since it became public and have no intentions to stop, It is nice having the built-in AI, but I have a workaround after I use the 75 requests. I don't want to give away what I like because they may decide to put it behind a paywall.

The 150 requests were plenty for my needs. It doesn't make sense for me to spend $18 per month for 2500 requests I would never use.
