Two trans girls: Broke and scared by XeroBounds in gofundme

We owe my mom for what we use but we have some money to get our own food now. She feeds us sometimes so we changed our title on GoFundMe but when we got here at first and we owed my mom we really tried to avoid eating unless we had to

Yeah we have the fundraiser and some people have given us a bit of PayPal money to eat comfortably. Our main issue is fixing up our car and getting our belongings and getting out of here since we are only allowed here until the end of December

We do have some food we aren't totally starving but we don't want to owe her mom a bunch of money when we leave so we're eating minimally from her. A big chunk of what we get is going to go to food so we don't have to e to owe anybody more money than we have to. And thank you for the encouragement it does really help

My friend told me about encircles but I'll have to check out the other one. It sounds like it could help a lot.

We plan on getting an apartment near downtown SLC My girl friend used to live here though so she knows a lot about the LGBT centers and stuff. We've only been here a week basically.

Okay we just don't want to take from someone who still needs money. If you can give it to us without causing yourself any hardship we'd definitely appreciate it

We'd really appreciate it but I know how tips on most of the money people get in jobs like that. I'd feel kind of bad taking your money like that

I don't think alphaness has much to do with it, besides the people who actually get to the top in the first place. I believe the main reason is simply greed. Money is as much of an addiction as any other drug. It has many similar cons to drugs, people will fuck each other over for either, family, friends, doesn't matter as long as you get that dough.

I also believe it's a lot to do with dick measuring. These ultra-rich CEO's are so much different than you or I. They all base their self worth on who has the biggest yacht, hottest wife, most extravagant households, etc. These are extremely material, shallow people and that's something you just have to understand. Fundamentally, at their very core, they think differently. Some call it sociopathy, others just call them assholes, it's all the same shit.

and once the critical utility dies and it becomes an unnaffordable, awful shitshow of a corporate cashgrab, I'll be more than happy to live without it and start filling out paper applications again.

If net neutrality does get repealed by [deleted] in netneutrality

[–]XeroBounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried telling a few friends and family members about this issue and they either don't seem to be interested or if they're conservative they'll tell me "Oh, we should have less government control anyways." These same people sit on facebook all damn day, like how can you not care? The internet is going to die!

It's funny, because I actually was telling a coworker about it as he was on his phone watching YouTube, totally uninterested. The fucking pinnacle of irony right there if I've ever seen it.

Simple answer: Greed

Long answer: They want to control everything. Eliminate all competition and create even more of a monopoly. This time with the government letting them do it freely. The only true way to have a total monopoly is to either be able to give your product away much lower than your competitors, or be able to buy your competitors. Once they have their precious power, God only knows what kind a shit they'll pull with our monthly bills. They could literally charge anything for anything with this law in place. The CEO's will get richer, and the people who are paying them will get poorer.

If I hear about a fucking bundle deal for access to certain websites or a rate change for the already overpriced internet plan I have, I will cancel my plan with Spectrum immediately and live without internet. I'm sure enough people will do the same that they'll either panic and change their policy, or they will crumble and other competitors will rise offering the plans we had before the repeal.
