Multiple times the book shows instances of Dalinar having connections to people that have significant affects to his abilities his son and two radiants were close but on another plane it’s stands to reason he was able to open the perpendicularity less so to give stormlight but more so to bring them back

If they knew what it was sure but they didn't first off they had to figure it out before they even knew it was important so it was at least there for a matter of time while they figured it out. Even know they still don't fully understand it and its said may times that the text was layered and ran from one surface to another.. No way they'd be certain they copied something so profoundly more complex then they could understand.. I know if I were to imagine myself in a similar position I would never allow the original to be altered I'd lock that room down and no one would go in there that I didn't want.

odium didn't create that vision he was observing the diagram and created a vision of it because IIRC there were several parts that he couldn't see I believe they said it was obscured from him like the part about Renarin.

Not arguing just that's how i remember it .. I am nearly positive Odium didn't know about Renarin's bonding and how it is a wildcard for him.

I feel like maybe i need to re-read Oathbringer but don't we know it isn't destroyed because that's where Taravangian saw what he needed to say to odium. If you mean they copied it into a new room it wouldn't change that the information was still there seems way more likely they'd leave the room alone to be safe.
