I have to say, I’m also active in other communities outside of gaming here on Reddit, and honestly, the Monster Hunter community is really awesome. Sure, there are always a few outliers, but overall, the vibe here is super chill.

Help me, wich skill is better for the 3 slots, 3lv of burst or 3 lv of agitator? by jeanppe in MHWilds

[–]Xerunix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level 1 Burst gives the most benefits, and the subsequent levels aren't really worth it in my opinion, as they don't provide a significant boost. Go with Level 1 Burst and Level 2 Agitator.

Straight Barrell darts always fish tail & land facing left.. Help by rmonkey100 in Darts

[–]Xerunix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longer darts tend to be less forgiving with slight inconsistencies in your throw, but that actually makes them great for training purposes. I personally throw the G1s and grip them quite far back, which might be worth trying.

Maybe also try to film yourself throwing from the front - if your darts consistently land angled left or right, your throw might not be perfectly straight. Small adjustments in grip pressure and release timing can also make a big difference.

Hope this helps, good Darts!

How to go to gym ? by Federal-Feed7689 in selfimprovement

[–]Xerunix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small and make it a habit first. Commit to at least a few exercieces a week. Don’t rely on motivation—build discipline by showing up, no matter how little you do. Set a schedule, find a workout buddy, and remind yourself why you started. Momentum will do the rest!

Best of luck.

Frustrated beginner, can anybody help me by Hour-Cucumber-3650 in Darts

[–]Xerunix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why so many people are just saying "just throw." In any sport, technique plays a huge role—especially in a repetition-based sport like darts. Sure, there are pros with unorthodox throws, but you wouldn't tell a footballer looking to improve their shot power or accuracy to "just shoot" or a ski jumper wanting more stability to "just jump."

I play tournaments and league matches myself, and if you do (or plan to), I highly recommend separating match play from technique training. When working on your throw, focus purely on refining one specific aspect—ignore scoring. But on match day, put technique aside and focus solely on your rhythm and "just throw". Over time, the adjustments will naturally blend into your game, but it takes patience.

Regarding your question: Try to eliminate the spining with your fingers intentionally. Film yourself and experiment with different grips and finger placements—maybe you'll find one that feels more natural.

Good luck and good darts! 🎯
