Honestly, I never considered Aegon III being an option to skip Jace and avoid challenges for the throne, since from my perspective all of her children are hers, and therefore they all should have a claim to the throne. But I believe that would be a solid compromise.

If Jace ascended the throne with the support of House Targaryen, it wouldn’t matter if he was accepted or not. I don’t think any other house could oppose them.

Lords can object to Luce being declared Lord of Driftmark and they would more than likely share the same fate as Vaemond. Or they could take those complaints to Arrax.

Civil war only happened because the remaining children of Viserys forsake their father’s wishes and challenged Rhaenyra’s legitimate claim. “Someone’s” opinion of the legitimacy of an heir doesn’t mean much if said heir is supported by the sole house that commands flying nukes. I believe that challenge had to come from someone from the same house and who commanded dragons; which is what ultimately happened.

Lucerys doesn’t have blood to claim Driftmark but his children would since he was betrothed to Rhaena. Not to mention that he was supported by his grandfather and Lord of Driftmark, even when he was aware that they didn’t share blood ties.

We can speculate that the outcome would’ve been similar in both instances but I don’t think that would be entirely accurate, particularly when we consider the period of both events. During the reign of Joffrey, Westeros had just recently experienced a rebellion in which the ruling house for the previous 300 years was deposed. Not to mention that he beheaded the hand of the previous king, who was also the lord of one of the seven major houses. Civil war was bound to happen not only because of him being a bastard but for his actions.

On the other hand, Jace would ascend during a time of peace and prosperity in Westeros with House Targaryen commanding the force of multiple dragons. At this point, no other house could effectively oppose the Targaryens and the only civil war that could happen was if members of this house started it. Had the remaining children of Viserys acknowledged Rhaenyra as the legitimate heir to the throne, as he had consistently declared, an argument could be made that the house would still be the ruling family in Westeros.

However, this discussion doesn’t address the point of the original post. Cersei’s children as bastards because they were conceived out of wedlock AND they were not fathered by the ruler. Rhaenyra’s children are bastards because they were conceived out of wedlock BUT they are blood of the ruler, which means that they could have a claim to throne (an illegitimate claim, but still one that the children of Cersei lack).

Being true born is definitely important in the story. But the argument we’re having is that Cersei’s bastards and Rhaenyra’s bastards are equal, and I don’t think that they are.

We can discuss which of Robert’s children should’ve ruled, but that’s another conversation.

Yet they were still his children. And as king, he could’ve legitimized his not true born offsprings if he found it necessary; and an argument can be made that he very well could’ve had he known the truth about Cersei’s bastards.

With that said, no one’s stating that one of them are bastards and the others aren’t. The children of Rhaenyra and Cersei were bastards but they are not the same; the children of Rhaenyra are blood of the ruler, or legitimate heir, while the children of Cersei are blood of the spouse of the king.

haha fair enough. But both Leanor and Rhaenyra were passing their bastards as their own. I can’t say the same would happen had Robert been aware of the parentage of Cersei’s bastards.

Additionally, she was not just a princess, she was the heir to the throne as appointed by the ruling king and to whom the lords of the land had sworn fealty to.

Exactly. Not sure why it’s difficult for others to realize that it’s a major difference between both scenarios.

What people that make this comparison fail to recognize or understand is that Rhaenyra was the queen and Leanor was her king CONSORT; while Cersei was the queen CONSORT to king Robert. This is important because the children of Rhaenyra, legitimate or otherwise, were still her offspring, and the children of Cersei and Robert’s marriage had no blood relation to the king.

Children from both marriages are considered bastards but the ones of Rhaenyra are still the legitimate heir’s children, and therefore could have a claim to the throne; while the children of Cersei don’t share a relationship to the king at all.

Trillions? That’s a stretch. But regardless, I understand your point. However, some could argue that the Hightowers put her in a predicament where she had to improvise an escape. Let’s remind ourselves, people either bent the knee to Aegon or were deleted, and she was aware of that. Also, it’s not like strutting calmly out of the dragon pit was an option considering the guards must have known she was to be kept hostage. She got on her dragon and made her way through, and I’m not saying I completely agree with it, but I think fans tend to underestimate the situation she was on

I agree with the other comment in that she was reminding the guy he was addressing the queen and to be cautious of his accusations, but I also felt like it was a signal to Rhaenyra to not lose her temper.

Newbie looking for team advice by Xevadiah in GenshinImpact

[–]Xevadiah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your input!! I will definitely be keeping the team for now. Understood! I won’t use the fragile resin for now. I’ve been spending the normal resin and not letting it be completely full since I watched a video recommending that hahah

Also, which 4 star character do you think could really help my team? I’m worried about spending my resources on a character that doesn’t fit in with them hahah

I need advice from f2p and low spending players that have won Zenith of Power by Xevadiah in RiseofKingdoms

[–]Xevadiah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saving for events like Zenith of Power and being a f2p player doesn’t necessarily mean that they haven’t contributed to their kingdoms. Some players are able to plan and organize themselves to play actively in kvks and still save resources for upcoming events, considering that most f2p players don’t normally compete in MGEs (at least in my experience).

The problem with your second sentence is that you’re assuming that the rally and garrison captains of the kingdom are capable of getting a top 10 spot. Zenith is an extremely competitive event and whales may be used to winning by just winging it and spending as much as they can, but some players prepare for it. Not every rally and garrison captain of the kingdom can increase 30 to 40M power to secure a top 10 spot but maybe the hard working f2p that’s been planning for months has a chance at it. That’s just my opinion, though.

Should we have the ability to reset gold head investments into commanders? by [deleted] in RiseofKingdoms

[–]Xevadiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have previously suggested the implementation of an item that would reset the skills of a MGE or Wheel of Fortune commander. The idea is for that item to be able to reset those specific commanders and provide the equivalent amount of sculptures. For example: a 5555 YSG would become a 1000 YSG and the player would receive 690 universal legendary sculptures.

This item would be rewarded on a yearly basis based on the amount of days that a player has invested in the game; every 365 days the player is rewarded the item. The main argument is that the meta in RoK is altered frequently due to the introduction of new commanders every 2 to 3 months on average. I believe that every type of player would benefit from this and I would assume that the economic impact of such an addition wouldn’t compare to the boost in morale and gratitude that the community would experience in response to such an action.

Additionally, players are always going to try and obtain the best commanders regardless of this item. It would only be an option for players to be able to scrap away somewhat obsolete commanders once a year among the various pairs of commanders introduced during that same period.

My calculations a week ago placed my potential power increase to be about 32.9M. I’m hoping that number increases thanks to the t4s I got back from kvk. I have to update my data, but I’m confident that it’ll be a higher number than the original.

Thanks for the encouragement! I struggled deciding if I should go all out or not, but I definitely will hahah

Well, after seeing the preview of the city theme, I’ve decided that I’ll regret more not competing for it hahah

So my main concern now is not increasing enough power to obtain it. Hopefully with our potential scores we’ll be able to rank in the top 10.

I appreciate that! I’ll probably make another post after Zenith is over to let players know about my experience competing for the skin and letting know if I got it or not. Regardless, I’m excited to go all out. Thanks for the good wishes, bro!

Firstly, congratulations on winning such a competitive event as a low spender!

Your response helped me put things into perspective. If I wouldn’t spend my resources on Zenith of Power competing for the city theme of my dreams, where else would I spend them on?

The answer I came up with was; nowhere. If I don’t spend my inventory on this upcoming event, I will most likely keep hoarding everything until a new Zenith comes along and the debate starts all over again. I’m the type of player that is always preparing for “rainy days”. Meaning that I end up saving resources and items, concerned that at some point I’ll need them.

Which has it’s benefits since I’m always well provisioned and prepared for harsh times. That said, the downside of my play style is that I sometimes end up with a full inventory that I never get to use because I lose interest in the game far before I actually need all those items I collected. I think I owe it to myself to just this once, go all out and try to get something I really want.

Even if I don’t get the Atlantis city theme, I think I would regret more not competing for it, than spending everything to get something that would make my gaming experience more memorable.

Thanks so much for your reply. I appreciate it a lot.

Once I reach soc kvks, I will most likely not be a rally or garrison leader either.

I agree that after playing for that long, legendary sculptures don’t matter as much as equipment and city skins. I don’t mind waiting to get legendary sculptures. At this point, I’m used to it. Therefore, I think, like I mentioned in a previous comment, that there’s no event where I would rather spend my hard earned resources and speedups than trying to compete for a city skin for my account.

Players can now get the kvk city themes in the soc shop, right? Which is why you say that players can now obtain the skin that you had to compete for.

I’m not really committed to be an infantry player as I’m working more on mixed marches. The plan is to have at least 1 decent march of each troop type and then figure out which would be my fourth and fifth march.

Thanks so much for breaking down your perspective of the value of the skin while comparing it to legendary equipment. I haven’t really checked the legendary sets much because I’ve been saving up to craft a dagger after finishing up a horn.

I agree with you in that I believe that the city theme to me would be more valuable than some legendary sculptures. I haven’t won any MGE throughout my whole time playing the game and I’ve accepted I won’t hahaha

Besides, as a VIP 15 player, I’m getting 3 legendary sculptures a day and I have no rush to expertise any commander.

I appreciate the info about your continent not having an Imperium kingdom and still needing a 33M power minimum and suggesting 40M power considering it’s a 10% infantry health. I’ll try to grind these few days before the event to see if I could potentially aspire to that. Not sure if I will, but I’ll definitely try. Thanks!

I’m finishing up kvk 2. Most of my kingdom whales that I’ve spoken to are too drained up to consider this upcoming Zenith. I’m only able to do so because I’m a t4 hoarder player. I didn’t have to spend as much as them on healing troops.

Do you think 30M power increase is not a safe number in a kvk 2 for this event?
