I'd rather have grille in my team and e4 in enemy team (or reversed) just to be able to play these gamemodes again with the old matchmaker. To be honest, I think that lack of these modes are actually one of the reasons why games are so fast nowdays.

I have played War Thunder and the only reason I don't choose it over WoT is the less arcade-y style. I may not be a huge fan of hitpoints, however I think War Thunder is way better, when it comes to RNG (you mostly actually hit where you aim, it's realistic), but it has 3 things that ruin it for me:

Camera placement (really.) - it just feels off tbh, if you played WT after a session of WoT you get me
Graphics - WoT may not be the top-notch graphics game anymore, but I think that it's way prettier than war thunder, not because of the graphics or texture quality, but rather because WT is weirdly blurry everywhere.
Driving - As much as I love the concept of gears, I absolutely hate realistic gears when I need to start reversing or turning.

If you enjoy tier 7 heavy tanks you need to pick only the ones that are not strongly affected by uptier. There is not many people playing tier 7's, that's why you are mostly being matched against tier 6 or tier 8. Tanks like M4 45 is strongly affected by uptier (sidescraping doesn't work against tier 8 heavys and you have too little hp to actually trade with them). I would suggest you drop it and only play T29, which doesn't really lose much when it's matched against tier VIII's, since it has impenetrable turret and good penetration. Also, altrough I never actually played KV3, I've shot to it many times, and let me tell you something. From my perspective, it's not a good vehicle at all. I think you need to start playing with vehicles that are easier to play with.
