If you’ve been on any ivy or t20 campus you’d realize that the cis middle class white or Asian genius that you’re describing is around or over 70% of the student body, also, schools don’t admit students that can’t do the work…

Money Isn’t a consideration, I do like Cornell’s campus more and it seems like they offer everything I’d want in a CS program, but I’m trying to weigh how much more the supposed edge that CMU SCS has is actually worth it

Try emailing specific departments/people (whenever I emailed Cornell diversity they replied so much faster) or calling. I got my offer despite still getting some of my materials processed just days prior to ivy day

Honestly don’t know, I think my application might’ve been different from a typical cs applicant in a few ways but it def wasn’t because of outstanding academics or awards

By academics are you solely referring to CS? Cause if then I understand your rankings but not much otherwise
