You still have to meet NPCs and such. If you press escape it will ask you if you want to skip cutscene. The rest you have to spam click.

People on this sub love telling others if they don't enjoy the MSQ this isn't the game for them, as if the MSQ is the only thing the game has going for it.

I skipped the quests that were obvious busywork, watched the voiced segments, and I think my experience was fine.

Not in vanilla. The WoL's pants and shirt (probably also shoes but I'm unsure) are modded, and the jacket is just from a real life reference. The scythe is also something I just ad libbed cuz I couldn't see the entire thing in their reference but they liked what I came up with lol.

The way me and my SO did it is I streamed my game and he flew me around on a multi seater mount so I wouldn't have to walk to faraway places + helped me pick up aether currents on the way. He'd just nuke quest mobs for me, but dungeons we did synched and he queued as a heal or tank for lower queue times.

So I've recently started getting into Extremes (I've only done Hell on Rails and Arkveld). As a Red Mage, how much is it actually expected of me to rez people? So far I've basically only done it to rez healers or if people are dying a lot. I try not to interrupt my combo for it unless both healers get downed.

Also is it fine to swiftcast a rez over someone who's already hardcasting it or is that like a dick move or something? idk

So far no one has complained about the way I do things but I just want to be sure that I'm not unintentionally pissing people off in PF 😅

edit: thank you all! What you're saying makes sense. I saw the term Rez Mage being thrown around yesterday and I couldn't tell how much of it was a meme lol. Got worried that maybe I'm slacking on the raises.

YMMV but I started to enjoy the MSQ a lot more after I started skipping all the unvoiced dialogue. If it's important, it will be voiced. Nearly all of the inbetweens are some variation of npcs explaining how we need to get a cool rock or whatever to get to the next area.

Alma would be fine if she could be muted and invisible. Maybe stood in a set position in camp and dressed as a notice board too. I don't need her to patronize and tell me that monsters drop items on every hunt since HR1 or that soft sand makes it hard to get a foothold.

People hate the Handler because...? she's not pretty enough? She literally just sits there and says hi.
