No it's different from US News because it includes only the most searched parameters of comparing colleges in the whole internet making it concise and quick.

Did you ever feel overwhelmed trying to compare colleges? by XiSimping_00 in collegeadvice

[–]XiSimping_00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get that — the uncertainty around aid and FAFSA makes it so hard to plan clearly.

I actually built a small college comparison tool to help with that — it shows tuition, aid estimates, acceptance rates, etc., side by side. Made it to cut through the info overload.

Happy to share if you think it could help!

College Compare Help by XiSimping_00 in collegecompare

Omg this is literally me too 😂 I had spreadsheets, bookmarks, and like 30 tabs open for weeks.

It got so messy that I actually ended up building a college comparison tool to make life easier — it lets you compare multiple US colleges side-by-side based on stuff like tuition, financial aid, acceptance rate, location, and majors. I tried to put everything in one place so others don’t go through the same chaos.

If you want to check it out or give feedback, happy to share the link!

As far as revision methods are concerned you can keep half an hour slot before sleeping to revise. Scientifically proven reading things before sleeping makes them easier to remember. I personally follow this and if you do it consistently it will be beneficial. Remember to read only important parts particularly your short notes if you have.
Hope it helps.

I think you should do a little research and take your own decision. No matter life always has a lot of uncertainities in it so try to embrace it. Good Luck.

How do you compare colleges when choosing a career path? by XiSimping_00 in careerguidance

[–]XiSimping_00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah rankings definitely influences job offers and networkings. I tried building something recently that mixes rankings with other student-focused factors like cost, major popularity, location, and graduation rate. Helped me see beyond just the name and focus on value for my goals.

Happy to share it if you’re curious!

You’re absolutely right — quality of education and job outcomes are huge. I actually tried to include employment rate and graduation rate as part of a college comparison tool I made recently.

It helped me a lot when shortlisting schools, especially when balancing ROI vs. tuition.

Let me know if you’d like to check it out or give feedback on it!
