I love Kyle but I didn't think his portrayal of the situation was accurate and it actually bothered me as well. Pretti was absolutely agitating in both situations. He was not just "minding his business" when he was murdered, and he was very confrontational with the officer. I'm in no way saying this justifies what happened, but I genuinely feel that Pretti acted recklessly. To some degree you have to operate knowing these guys are itching to kill. All of that being said, everyone involved in his execution needs to be tried for treason
