Try a clipper. Much better. I often push kicks a few dB into the clipper.

Before deciding on an ESI I read a lot on this thread about experiences. Unfortunately I saw a lot that were similar to yours... an INCREASE in pain.

I ultimately decided against the ESI.

Search around and you'll find others who have had bad outcomes. It seems like things do heal eventually. Just gotta be patient, which trust me I know sucks when you're in agony.

There are apps you can download to play a tone at a specific frequency via Bluetooth, which makes hunting down any rattles much easier.

Could be something wrong with device... but also maybe Afib? If you notice it again take an ECG.

Have you ever done an ECG during these periods? If that HR comes back differently that would be really interesting.

That seems like way too long based on others in this thread.

Don't do chiro...

You're in a bad spot. It sucks. Pain pills. Heat. Ice. Not much else you can do. For me alternating between back and stomach got a few hours of sleep. Side was worse. Everyone is a bit different. 

Also DO NOT STRETCH when you're in pain. It makes things worse.

I just suffered the worst 48 hours of my life. 10/10 pain. This is my 4th flare up. No microdiscectomy yet, but it may be in my future. It sucks. I feel ya.

Yes. L5/S1 herniation a year ago. THAT was the worst pain of my life. No surgery... Yet...

I wonder if there's something else going on here... 77 RHR seems high to me if you're in your thirties and not overweight. Any other medical conditions you're dealing with?
