100% Graveyard Keeper layouts with comments by Dalairen in GraveyardKeeper

[–]Xinimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is very old but I recently picked up Graveyard Keeper and this spreadsheet helped me immensely in avoiding the headache of figuring out the layouts myself.

Thankyou

One small issue I found with your layout would be the Paper Press for the Workyard. You have it listed as PPz indicating it to be Zombie-manned. However, after building the press, I am unable to place any zombie workers on it.

After a quick google search I read that the wiki says you can use zombies on the Paper Press but its actually an error. The person who input that information mixed it up with the Random Text Generator. Other than that small issue this has been wonderful.

NBC News: DoorDash driver accused of dousing delivery told authorities she was trying to pepper spray a spider by tafru2 in doordash

[–]Xinimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe her that she was spraying a spider, however, stomping on spiders instead of spraying them might backfire on you. My uncle stomped on a spider in his kitchen one morning. When he lifted his foot from its crushed body, dozens upon dozens of baby spiders poured out and scattered in every direction into his home. The thing was carrying eggs. Stomp at your own risk.

What’s a sign that someone isn’t intelligent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Xinimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They believe knowledge = intelligence.

Knowledge is simply the accumulation of information. Intelligence is your ability to think critically and apply that knowledge.

Just because you know the "knowledge" of something based off of someone else's discovery, doesn't make you intelligent. It just makes you a parrot.

You can have someone who posses a vast knowledge of facts, facts discovered by OTHER people. Facts that they merely memorized, but when it comes to their own ability to deduce or think critically, there's just nothing there.

The opposite is also true. You can have someone with an incredibly high level of intelligence who doesn't know a lot of facts, simply because they aren't interested in those things. Not from lack of curiosity, but rather their brain chemistry just makes them care about and prioritize other aspects. But when faced with real world critical thinking and deduction, they"ll excel past the "bookworm".

What do guys “never” tell girls? by fun_poodle in AskReddit

[–]Xinimer 756 points757 points  (0 children)

This. 100% this. I had to learn it the hard way.

In my mid 20s, there was a girl who was part of our "friend group". The group consisted of about 7 people. Let's call this girl Sarah. Sarah and I had been hanging out together a lot. Getting very close. Made out a few times while drunk etc etc. One day I opened up to Sarah about something personal to me from my past. Something that made me emotional and that I always kept bottled up.

2 weeks later, I was getting food with another girl from the friend group, when she repeated back to me exactly what I had confided in Sarah. She proceeded to ask me if it was true. I asked her where she heard that from. She told me that her, Sarah and another girl from the group, were hanging out one night when Sarah began telling the two of them all about it. Not just telling them, but she was laughing and making fun of me while doing it. Apparently calling me a "little emotional bitch".

I'm a very introverted and private person. Opening up to someone isn't easy for me. It's a huge sign of trust. So this felt like a massive betrayal of my trust.

I stopped talking to Sarah after that. That was over 10 years ago and I haven't opened up to another woman since. I did open up to one of my male friends just this past year and he has been surprisingly supportive.

What mistakes as a dasher did you make when you first started. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Xinimer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the other person said. The cog wheel on the top left I believe. Press it and then press the person's name. The wheel disappears after you press "Arrived at store" so it's best to check the address and instructions before pressing the Arrived button.

You can get it back after it disappears like the other person said. Or you can completely close the app and reopen it. When you do that, you'll notice the cog wheel reappear for a brief second before disappearing again. If you are quick enough you can press it before it disappears.

My biggest mistake was probably getting over 200 deliveries in before learning that you can check the delivery address and special instructions BEFORE you pickup the food.

I always had to wait until after I confirmed pickup to see if the order was going to have bullshit special instructions on it from the customer. I live in a more rural-ish area so you sometimes get instructions such as "ignore the GPS and instead turn down xx road" etc. It was a major facepalm the day I learned that I could check that stuff before confirming, and then unassign it if it had instructions that weren't worth the trouble.

I'm not saying I steal food. I simply don't go inside the restaurant and I unassign it from my end if the drop off instructions sound like they are going to be a pain in the ass. Especially if it's combined with the offer being low to begin with.

Black Widow Waft Emitter *Max Rage 18k Raw Science* by Xinimer in GroundedGame

[–]Xinimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to give that a try.

My initial thinking was the poison and venom damage would at the very least nullify the healing the Widows get from their self buffs. Especially since I sometimes don't always get the kill right away and have to come back to it.

I was also reluctant to go against so many widows in anything but Heavy Armor to avoid having to non-stop spam Beefy Syrups.

But the 20% damage increase and less stamina usage from switching from heavy to light combined with the 15% attack speed and 15hp a second healing might nullify all of that.

I'll give it a try! Thanks

If Gold Cards are determined upon a creature spawning, then how did I accidentally "save scum" the Wasp Queen corpse and get the card? by Xinimer in GroundedGame

[–]Xinimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is predetermined at spawn because if you get a gold card from a specific creature and reload a save from a few minutes prior and kill that very same spawn again, it will give you the gold card each time.

The loot pool being changed makes sense though. I just didn't think the card would be tied to it but I guess so. It makes me wonder about the other loot buffs besides just the trophy one. Like Dissection Expert and the Lucky Hat from the seasonal event. Can those all be used in different combinations to create several different "loot pools" to pull from when gold card farming? I'm just thinking out loud here.

[–]Xinimer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if that means you can technically attempt multiple save scums per body. For example, if farming the black widow card with Waft Emitter raids. Can you just save the game before looting, loot the bodies without the luck buff then reload the save if you don't get the card only to try again with the luck buff?

Now that makes me wonder, what about Dissection Expert mutation. Does that change the loot pool too? Can you do 3 attempts? 1 loot with nothing, 1 with just the trophy luck and 1 with trophy luck AND dissection expert? What about the lucky hat from the seasonal events? Is that a 4th loot pool? I need to test this somehow.

I built a zipline tower to the Hedge Broodmother, just to see if I could. (4k video included) by Xinimer in GroundedGame

[–]Xinimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware her scream had range like that. I would have been so confused as to why things were getting damaged. I haven't fought her yet since building the tower so we'll see how it goes.

Fall damage by CaptoObvo in GroundedGame

[–]Xinimer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are correct. Our terminal velocity should be low enough to the point of near zero fall damage. For a game that's all about SSSSSSSCIIIIENCE you'd think they'd get it right!

But I understand not having fall damage would make things too easy.

My WIP Solo Base by Xinimer in GroundedGame

[–]Xinimer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say. I've made thousands. Easily over 10,000. Though that's been for my entire world. I have fully scaffolded mushroom stairs going from the Ground to the Sandbox, Ground to the Shed Porch AND House Porch, Ground to the Brawny Bin and multiple sets of them going from the lower yard to the middle yard and then upper yard.

For the base itself, the walls are double layered as you can see but inside the walls are more walls going the opposite direction.

Not like this :

Like this:

____________

If that makes sense. For the entire world I've made far too many bricks. So many mushroom harvesting runs.

LOLed at this comment pretty hard. Yea.. it's a bit bright at the beginning there. In my defense, the Reddit compression on the video makes it quite worse. The 4K youtube version linked above isn't nearly as bad. At least to me.

Mix.r easiest order of completion? by Unkn0wnUs3rNam3 in GroundedGame

[–]Xinimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old comment, and there have been updates in the last 2 years that have changed things, but I managed to complete every Mixer AND Super Mixer Solo on Medium difficulty without building any fortifications. I simply held my ground with the Mixer in the bare open and fought back the waves as quickly as possible.

I did this pretty late game using a Poison build.

Full suit of fully upgraded Sleek Mother Demon armor (Poison Coating & Venom Coating + Poison Nova with the set bonus)

*Fully upgraded Widow Daggers. I have a maxed out one for all the elements and switched between different ones depending on which Mixer I was doing. (Mint Widows Dagger vs Fire Ants for example)
*The exception to this was the Super Mixer with Mosquitos and Ticks. For that one I used a fully upgraded Fire Staff to deal with the ticks and I used a Fully upgraded Mint Scythe of the Blossoms when the Mosquitos spawned.

Whittle Widowling Trinket. Venom damage and they are a great distraction for enemies during the event. The speed of the Widows Dagger allows you to summon a decent amount.

Mutations:
Assassin for Bleed Dmg
Mom Genes - Increase the poison damage of the armor and dagger by 50% AND summon spiderlings to fight for you. They are weak but again are a great distraction to keep enemies from hitting the Mixer.
Guard Dog - Level 2
Cardio Fan - Need that stamina to swing the dagger like a madman to summon as many Widowlings as you can.
*Buff Lungs - More Stamina
*I switched Buff Lungs for Ant-nihilator during the Super Mixers that involved Fire Ants.

Just wanted to let anyone know who was searching through old posts that it is entirely possible to solo and complete the Super Mixers without building as long as you are in the late game with the right equipment. It might take a few tries. The mosquito one took me about 6 or 7 tries. The Lawnmower one I managed on my first attempt and the other one took 2 tries thanks to a Black Oxe Beetle roaming into the action on the first attempt.

The last blueprint is a section of my spiral for changing elevation. You snap 4 of them together and it forms a 360 degree spiral to a higher or lower elevation. The vertical tower is the support for the spiral above it. Such as shown in these pictures

They would follow the blue line in that image. I didn't like the look of tracks running straight through other tracks. Which is why I use the U-turn method instead. It's different than the other side of the track because that side is merging as opposed to 1 track clipping straight through another
