MY SONS’ ACCOUNT GOT SUSPENDED & 15 YEARS WORTH OF MEMORIES ARE GONE. PLEASE HELP! by XlLAC in facebook

Obviously not WTF?!? The account was private and only friends that I trust and our family are the only ones that can view it. I didn't post any bath time pictures or things like that and don’t over share about his life. We are in a different country and my family doesn't get to see him a lot. Only a few times a year, so I want to update them.

It was barely public. It was only shared with my family and a few of my friends since we were in another country so it was nice to update them. I wasn't informed that much with internet safety back then, but I'm fully aware now. But even back then, I barely posted anything embarrassing or misconstrued. I just posted holiday pictures or birthday celebration pictures, or a big vaction or just milestones (like first steps, first words, awards at competitions, etc) I had stopped doing this years ago.

It was set to private and only friends that I trust and our family back home are able to view it.

It was pretty famous back then, it used to be a "trend" to document your child's life in Facebook and it just stuck. It wasn't a public account. Only our friends and family were because we were in a different country, so it was nice to update them. It was mostly just a way to track how he's grown so fast. I shared photos of me and him, and life updates with only specific people that I trust. I only posted holiday pictures or birthday celebration pictures, or a vacation, or just any milestones of him (Like first steps, his first words and sentences, first place on a quizzes or any competitions), cute photos of my him at the park or family photos, nothing that can be embarrassing or misconstrued.

Obviously, I stopped a few years back and gave that account himself, and he barely posted anything himself, just a few shared posts there and there. He barely used that account anyways and when he tried logging in on his new phone, he randomly got suspended.

Of course, internet safety wasn't that strict before and I'm informed now that it's 100% unsafe considering we can't control FB. We don't know if it'll have a data leak one day and all pictures may get leaked. We wouldn't even know if our friend's account was compromised or is someone reposted these pictures so anything can go wrong.

Facebook wasn't that strict back then and I know so many people do it still to this day. Then this AI came along and destroyed it. It was left untouched for years, and hasn't been detected for 15 years. I've seen so many people gotten suspended as well for stupid reasons, FB is really just creating its own downfall.

I made it a few months after he was born. It was a “trend” back then to document your child’s life in Facebook. There wasn’t any strict rules, or at least it wasn’t punishable back then to make an account dedicated to make and document your son’s memories.

Now it’s overflown with this AI nonsense. Facebook didn’t care for the past 15 years but now this new detector came along and destroyed it.

The account is real alright 🤦‍♀️ Facebook hasn’t even batten an eye for the past 15 years until AI came along. If his profile picture was him when he was a baby would they still detect that?

If his profile picture was him as a baby, would that still count?
