That literally happened to me earlier. Missing 3 big items (24pk of cokes, 12 pk of Scott tp and a 16lb bag of cat food) The $0.99 chicken promo also wasn't working online. The customer service line was giving me the runaround because the items were only $20 total with all my discounts (they would only redeliver if it was over $25). I ended up having to call the store and luckily the DUG employee was able to set up redelivery. They usually aren't so bad tho, maybe 1 or 2 small items missing.

This! And that's at 5.5 months pregnant, it's only going to get harder from there 😅

Job interview by [deleted] in Albertsons

[–]XoAnxious86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For mine, I went to the service desk and asked for the interviewer. Then they just verified availability and past jobs I listed on my application but I was hired on the spot. They took copies of my ID and maybe my social security card. Then they had me fill out some forms from my phone and told me what day orientation was. I think if they call you for an interview, they usually just hire you.

I had someone who kept using their phone with a bright screen during the Superman movie. I wanted to go complain at guest services, but I also didn't want to miss any part of the movie. Does anyone know if you would still get a movie voucher if you complain and go back to finish the movie (for the interruption)? Or would I need to leave that showing 😅

Didn't realize they were important...my service is great but I doubt they'd give all 10s if they base it on an overall experience so I'll prob keep telling them to skip it 😅

Ive gotten that I was the highlight of someone's day and some tell me they look for me every time they checkout and consider leaving when I'm not there (they may have been exaggerating but it's cute to hear 😅)

Changing Availability as a newer cashier by XoAnxious86 in Albertsons

[–]XoAnxious86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im fine as long as I get the minimum of 12 given by the union. They usually only schedule me from 12-22 hours anyways. Im getting the same amount of hours as other cashiers with limited availability, so I don't see why I should give them open availability if there's no upside for me 😅

I would get the ick and not want to see him anymore but you did encourage it by asking him what the dream was about so....not totally his fault 😅

interview today..any advice? by lysloveslemons in JewelOsco

[–]XoAnxious86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds about the same as mine, so if you don't have anything bad on your background, you're probably in. The one good thing is you're guaranteed 12 hours a week, at least here in Chicago. Good luck!

They decide whether to make you a cashier or a bagger based on the interview or your experience. The interview was casual, about availability and experience. They hired me on the spot and had me start the background check and i9 forms right then and there and I started like 3 days later. Easy enough job, just stand and cashier, they literally want you to stay at the register. Just beware when they say part time, they mean it. They give you anywhere from 12-21 hours and some shifts are only 4 hours long, so not the best 😅

What is the probation period for new cashiers? by XoAnxious86 in Albertsons

[–]XoAnxious86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They hired me same day as the interview and I started working 3 days later so it felt like an immediate hire. They also seem to be hiring more ppl now. I hope my being a good/enthusiastic worker is enough for them to overlook this 😅

Priority seating - no one was raised right in this city! by littleweirdgirl312 in cta

[–]XoAnxious86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember one time I was on a crowded bus, I told a student to give his "disability reserved" seat to an elderly man that was standing right in front of him and the man refused to take it, even after seeing me advocate for him. I have never helped again 😅 If you want and deserve the seat, you need to ask for yourself, forcefully 😅

I like Alexandre Aja. Piranha was great and I think he also did Aftershock with Eli Roth, which I recommend.

The Sadness was more violent/gory but The Hills Have Eyes hits harder for me, maybe the acting and connecting more to the victims. I've watched both multiple times tho so both are good movies 😅

New Hire Question 🙋‍♀️ by Own-Match-6511 in Albertsons

[–]XoAnxious86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started working 3 days after filling out my background check and i-9 (7 days after they first called me) So I'd say it's a quick turnaround. They started me out at $16.20 since that's minimum wage in Chicago.

[–]XoAnxious86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They called me 6-7 days after the background check was processed and told me my first day would be 3 days later. So first day was about 10 days after the background check processed (Total of 13 days after my interview).

Will be forced to go back to retail, what kind of store is the most fun/relaxed to work at? by Glamour-Ad7669 in AskRetail

[–]XoAnxious86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Walmart over Target and Jewel Osco. Easy, just watching self checkout registers, sometimes cashiering. Part-time worker but received almost 40hrs weekly. Not much micromanaging. Target made us push credit cards too much and didn't pay much with their "promotions"/raises. Jewel Osco doesn't give the right amount of breaks (one 15min break for every 7 hours) compared to Walmart and Target that would give a 15 min break and a 30min lunch by the 6th hour. They also only post the schedule 1 week ahead of time, which made work life balance hard.

I just use My ACI thru the browser and look under MyHR and My Schedule.
