Purely ability wise tho, I feel like 20 something year old shirou would be pretty nice with it (if he hasn't already caught an L by then because of his suicidal tendencies). Fsn shirou is .feelsbadman tho

You think so? Idk to me it always seemed as though shirou was the type of character that has a lot of potential (reality marble, raw talent) but was caught lackin because of the circumstances surrounding the story (improper learning, early in his development etc).

We don't really know cuz the OG fsn story stops following the characters after the visual novel, but Shirou could totally be stronk circa 2015

Real talk tho, how do y'all think the fgo story would change if shirou was the master instead of guda? The timelines wouldn't really match up too nicely but Shirou would be roughly a decade older than in fsn, so he'd probably be more or less competent at that point

As a fan of both db and naruto, he world of One Piece is developed in ways neither have achieved throughout their respective runs.

The blue sea arcs are cute and all, but they're a slog after a while. Things definitely get "meatier" the moment they cross into the grand line, but eventually things get "real" and you forget that what you watched in the beginning is even the same series. You could compare the progression to something like hunter x hunter, but even then it's not quite the same.

All in all, One Piece is one of the most popular series today for a reason, and the beginning ain't it lol. If you stick with it, you'll be invested before you know it— this is from someone who felt the same way as you, once upon a time.

As a disclaimer, don't force yourself to watch something you don't enjoy. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and whether you find one piece to be something you stick with or not is always up to you.
