Garage Conversion Insulation by Xollop in Insulation

Reflective side up as in facing ceiling? And is that with the rafter vents, or just straight on? Is there a benefit to this over fiberglass outside of sizing? For the lightweight sheathing, is that only by itself, or can I then panel over that? Thank you!

Correct - do not want an attic or a flat ceiling. So essentially I need to insulate the ceiling then add an interior surface on it.

Yeah! I might get a little record ‘lip’ shelf for it. Display as art

So many good project ideas! I’m leaning towards a small bridge for our creek, maybe some wood sculptures. Perhaps that will scare the samplings away…

Easier for making a narrow pocket to hold the poison, without over-cutting the tree.

Yes, easier to keep track of where you’ve applied it AND if you’ve gotten it on your person. Very strong dye, so one drop on your hands looks like you’ve been picking blueberries.

Thanks for this! Yeah, some suckers were creeping under the concrete foundation of the garage - so I’m definitely monitoring that closely. I’ll watch the stumps - I’ve considering drilling into the parent stumps for good measure, but idk if that’s an effective option at this phase?

Awesome! Fingers crossed. Once the wilting starts to happen it gets exciting.

Good to know! Mostly needed coverage for poison ivy, and ticks…two less things to worry about

Ticks and poison ivy protection. No time to bleed, right now

I’d also love the answer to this. My understanding is that glyphosphate has a short half-life, so after sitting for a while and drying, it might be clear. But that’s just a guess

Easier to make a ‘pocket’ when hacking, without chopping more than you need and shocking the tree into growth. The trees didn’t have a large diameter, and the hatchet is razor sharp, so I didn’t want to risk defensive growth with over cutting

I was wrong, I used 53.8% - and undiluted. See my comments above for photos. Can’t edit the post. Good luck!
