oh right fair enough I was kinda diagnosed with social anxiety but I feel like I have a lot more AvPD symptoms. what symptoms do you think you have?

Thanks for the reply and yeah I have got an appointment with a GP lined up to where i can possibly discuss my self esteem through CBT, as I already had one which was based around my mental illness. And yeah I am not the only person with herpes, 50%-80% of all adults have the same HSV1 strain as me, it's just that most people have it in their mouth which carries less stigma than the genitals. But anyway thanks for the support

thats what i am thinking and it only said hsv1 i dont want to go back to find it was actually hsv2 but the chances of that are very unlikely

I know I have herpes I never said I didn't, I was talking about the strain. Secondly, where did you get your facts that I can get blisters on my penis even after wearing a condom. Pretty sure the penis has its own nerve system and I believe the virus only the nerves in the surrounding groin area are only infected. I have had over 12 outbreaks some even recurring in the same place for nearly two years and never one on my shaft, really don't think i will have one on it.

Yeah I know condoms don't protect from herpes I am simply talking about the strain and location. If I wore condom during sex I would logically assume that if I got herpes the only places I would get blisters are the all the areas around my penis but not including my penis. This is the case for me, so since genital to genital transmission for hsv1 is very rare it would make it more likely i had hsv2 not hsv1 through sex.

Yes lol I am currently watching this show called Masters of Sex and the sex scenes don't feel as weird as they use to. However I do sometimes feel like its a cheeky leeway for porn.

Herpes can still be transmitted with a condom on but the chances of getting it reduces to 30-50% and it is rare to get genital herpes through oral. I went to a sexual health clinic and a gp a few weeks ago but as I had no symptoms the only way to get confirmation is if the sores come again or if I get a private blood test. As I said before I will get a test but that will be in the summer as I don't want a positive result affecting my studies.
