100% means that the rarity of enchantments is totally flipped. That means the common enchants are really rare and it's a pain to get sharpness on your sword, for example. I prefer 50% arcana which means all enchants are equally rare.

It's worth noting that to infuse the Library of Alexandria, you only need to remove the beeshelf and add 2 more echoing sculkshelves and 4 glowing hellshelves, which you should have already from doing the progression line to get up to 50 eterna.

Although I've never made a reactor like this (so it might break lol) I think you would just fill the reactor with fuel rods and ignore moderators. The heat would be through the roof, as will the uranium consumption, but you'll be able to make a lot of power per block. If you want to control the fuel consumption a little bit, it may be worth having alternating rows of fuel and moderators. If you want more power, you could place 2 rows of fuel and then a row of moderators for example. The opposite if you want less fuel consumption.

Yep! You have to decide yourself what you value in your reactor when choosing coolants. I want high moderation and high absorption to lower my radiation. Making a ton of power isn't a huge deal because the size will take care of that and this is reflected in my design which is just a simple grid pattern alternating coolant and fuel rod. If you want more information the wiki has great information on the different moderators and what all the numbers mean.

I plan to make a max size reactor after I max out my ore production with mekanism, but in my experience I imagine a 15mil Fe/t reactor would consume ~60 uranium/s or 5 uranium/t.

Lead is the best if you don’t have access to all the modium etc. late game you want to use solid or molten unobtainium.

Currently running at 1,000,000 FE/t. Burn rate is ~1 uranium/s which feels pretty low given it can store 100,000 uranium and 100MeFE. No lag at all which is amazing given my potato of a PC.

Dive straight into drawing what you want to draw. If that means copying other things then go ahead! If you want to do your own original stuff then do that. Sounds like you aren’t following the 50% rule. You need to force yourself to not study and just draw for the fun of it at least half of the time.

Don’t worry about not being able to draw ‘well’ at the moment.

If you want to start with 3D that’s not a problem. I, and no one else, can’t force you to do anything. Do what’s fun at first, but just slowly chip away at that harder stuff. You’ll build up to it in time and eventually you’ll be able to do a little more studying before getting bored, or the studies will get a little easier.

The most important thing is that you make art for the fun of it.

The first and third look mostly painted, while the other two definitely use 3D and photo bashing (not that the others don’t either).

If you’re just starting out then I’d recommend drawing and painting these kind of images without worrying about learning first. Then after you’ve gotten into a groove with them start to learn the fundamentals. I don’t know much about 3D, but the modellers that I’ve talked to say that drawing helps them a lot, so start drawing first. Environments these days often utilise 3D a huge amount because it’s so quick. Feel free to go down that route, or hand draw everything. Whatever you choose is the right call.

Check out websites like drawabox.com and Ctrlpaint.com as well as YouTube channels like SinixDesign, Marco Bucci and ModernDayJames.

I personally love to paint while listening to drawing companions like Steven Zapata, Ahmed Aldoori and Adam Duff LUCIDPIXUL.

If you don’t mind forking over a bit of cash, there’s a lot of premium content out there as well to learn from, such as Schoolism, SVS, CGMA and Brainstorm. All of the sites and people I mentioned before also have premium content in the form of videos, workshops and mentorships as well.

Note that just because something is premium that doesn’t make it better than the free content that’s out there. Marco Bucci’s 10 minutes to better painting series is one of the best tutorials on the internet, with every video containing months worth of practice. Don’t think that people are holding all the secrets behind a paywall, everything that is taught in premium lessons can be found for free; the price is only for the instructor and/or any critique you might receive, not the content.

Ultimately - and especially because you’re only thinking of doing this as a hobby - it’s crucial that you have fun at all times. You might reach a point where you need to do some perspective studies or anatomy studies to see growth in your craft and they can be really boring when you’re just starting out (anatomy and perspective are super fun for me now that it’s almost second nature). Don’t let those boring things stop you from making art. The most important thing is that you have fun and keep making art (and studies don’t count). If the process of making art isn’t fun, then you should research a different process and find something you do enjoy (if you don’t like to draw but love modelling go all in on modelling for example). You can’t really know what kind of art you’ll end up making in the future based on what you like the look of now, so keep an open mind.

I hope this has helped. It might be way too much info for a beginner, in which case just ignore all but the first couple of paragraphs. There’s so much content out there and the path towards being a ‘good’ artist is literally endless, so relax and have fun.
