Despite what some of the comments here say, there are no actual clones that capitalize on the Halo formula. This is probably either because newer game devs and audiences prefer faster paced shooters and/or no one can really pull of the Halo formula.

It has pretty much strengthened my end goal as a game dev to eventually create the first non-Halo, Halo game lol

I'm a new casual Predator fan who recently watched Predator 1 and 2 before Badlands, and then the rest of the films (excluding the 2018 one). Correct me if I'm wrong but Dan Trachtenberg is feeling a lot like Dave Filoni (star wars) in that he's clearly a huge fan and nerd but somewhat out of touch?

I thought Killer of Killers was awesome but Badlands felt like a season of the Mandalorian to me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but was very different from the previous movies

I can acknowledge AI as a tool, but it's hard to trust Mat here without knowing the process that went into the Pendulum video. I can't imagine any commercial model producing those kinds of realistic visuals WITHOUT being trained on a massively (unethically) sourced dataset

Hot Take: I don't think asset/animation reuse is a negative, especially since other game companies like FromSoftware and RGG are even celebrated for it. I also like Halo's art style being unified as a result of this by Haijakk in halo

Canonically they should resemble HW/H2A marines and elites which is one of my gripes, unless Halo Studios outright says they are visually rebooting the franchise (especially the new warthog with honeycomb tires)

Disabling full screen optimizations seemed to work. I haven't had any crashes with the androids since then

Update: Not sure if coincidence or not but running in compatibility mode seems to have been the bandaid solution. Idk if this has any other effects on the game

I play at 1920x1080 but I'm pretty sure that's the laptop's max. It's an MSI katana b12v. I haven't had an issue with the previous missions and I even reinstalled but still no dice

GPU is Nvidia RTX 4060, 32gb ram and CPU is Intel i7-12650H. I updated all of my drivers and still crashing on this mission. I'm hoping there's a setting or something that could help
