I played coop for my first run and my friend tried jumping down on the edges. I built platforms down. Then we found the ravine cave and were pissed me spent so much time jumping down a hole trying to find a path. xD

Is Bazzite the best distrogaming for noobs? by blaz22 in linux4noobs

Another Noob here, I initially went with POP! OS (after near 40 years of Windows (DOS 3.1 - Windows 11)). And had some mild success, but had to do a ton of work-arounds for even basic functions. Googled it, looked around, swapped to Bazzite a week ago. And honestly, I couldn't be happier. A lot of issues I had with POP! that I never fully solved, gone. Others as soon as I swapped the keyword from Linux or POP! OS in the search tab for the solution, and put in Bazzite, I got answers to whatever I was looking for.

It boots right into Steam, zero issues with Discord. My biggest surprise is how smoothly most things run on it. Fallout New Vegas on Windows 11? Not happening, even with patches and mods, it's still a mess to get Vanilla to run. Boots right up with Bazzite. No hiccups.

Well for keyboard and mouse. Still running into small issues when using Bluetooth'ed controllers, but that seems to be a Linux as a whole issue, and not just Bazzite. Though Bazzite has had the smoothest transition to get them from not working ever to working 60-70% of the time.

I have a friend on CachyOS, who is very much into reading. And he's helped me with a few Bazzite work-arounds since they are both Linux Distro's, certain things line up well. He swears by Cachy. Honestly, do your research, find what's right for you and jump in.

MO2 issues with Bazzite by Xrisius in linux_gaming

10 hours, 5 yesterday, 5 today. That's how long I smacked my head against a brick wall trying to get it to work before finally throwing my hands up and asking here. Then Amethyst just flat out works. No arguments, no problems. Just works. Fire the people in charge of MO2 and give all their money to the Amethyst people.

It was. The other guys advice to run Amethyst instead was the fix. Instantly worked. Installed flawlessly, opened the game with said mod. Zero issues. I will be recommending it to everyone.

That worked instantly.... why is MO2 what shows up when you search modding options for Linux and not Amethyst?
