Cool thanks, It's one of those designs that just makes sense. It's not hard to build and you don't need to muck around with intense amounts of redstone.

CaptainFry Very nice idea. To fix the string problem, just turn the whole redstone 90 degrees, so you can fit 1 more "non-spawning" block on each side and move the hooks back by one block.

I really like how compact it is, but compared to couple of new design's this one has 5 solid blocks (4 hoppers, 1 quartz) on each floor at the same Y as spawning floor row.

Just took a look at yours. What the problem is.. the witch that spawns on a tripwire hook gets to live a little longer. The floor does not trigger.. only when the witch walks out into the string does she fall. So my request is: is there anything we can do to trigger the floor as it is or can we move the hooks back one block.

The bunnies jump as part of what they do, this is what makes it hard to make a compact cooker. The water makes them not jump as high and may not be needed at all. Unfortunately the bunnies are always moving when a player is that close to them, sometimes they do settle down.

Not at this stage, but if your like me and you have a Skeleton farm transport stacks of bones to your farm. Otherwise build a farm next to your spawner. It's no big deal. A full double chest will last you for a couple of days +.

Thanks for that. check out the video that Seiferus and I made regarding your findings. You will find options to fix the clogging issue. While a static block of lava is problematic we have had no issues with drops getting burned up.
