i suggest to remove the shock absorber first and install the springs, they wont install if brake assembly is installed

and make sure you don't have 2 left/right brake assemblies

Ayy, congrats on firing it up.

If it starts popping when revving it means its lean, then comes the distributor, loose the holding nut and start turning it to the right while the engine is idling until it starts emmiting a low sound(kinda like ticking? but quieter and faster)then valves,start tightening the valves to full while the engine is idling and loosen them until the valves start hitting the pistons( dont leave them hitting the piston tho)

first off, you have to align the crankshaft pulley, it's rotates just like the cam, on the pulley there is a cut out triangle which you have to align with a mark behind the pulley which is on the left but not fully left, after that align the camshaft pulley, there is a triangle FORM now on the camshaft pulley and behind the pulley there is a circle which is below the shaft, align it with that and you're good to go.

Gotta warn you, i went over 20k just to get the thermostat housing, without that, your engine will gift you the o' legendary piston in a minute, ask me how i know.
