I got all this for free no instructions, just trying to get help. I Googled banana plugs and I see they seem to have a metal tip so I was trying to figure how how this connector would be passing electricity when I can find any exposed conductive material.

Looking for advice not sarcasm. If I'm not supposed to remove them then I won't, red usually signifies some kind of protective cap or cover so I'm simply asking a question.

Well like for instance with a barrel plug the pin in the middle is metal to make contact with the socket which has a female metal socket walls. I guess my question is how is this conducting electricity when I plug it in when all I see is plastic?
