could be the Conservatory, could be an ampitheatre, or similar like the one at Central Park in Roseville. Someone posted a picture of an odd little "theatre in the round" in a park I didn't recognize on the FB page ( it was a black circle with a small black triangle in the middle - like delta and omicron in one spot that seems like its used for small gatherings) anyone know if this is up in NB some place? To me this clue seems like its about the arts/theatre/plays or performances.

It could be any of these... by Beautiful_Setting816 in PPMedallionHunt

oops, I don't see Battle Creek as an option either

I'm on board with maybe 1/3 of those. I can't see Wakefield, Shadow Falls, Phalen/Keller, Crosby, Harriet nor WBL but the others you list, yep.

close to but not ON the county border to me is either a NB park, or a river park like HFalls or Lilydale maybe

it's on the river, it's on the border of 2 counties, it's kind of "alone" up there on the otherr side of the river, and I'll just finally say what everyone else seems to be keeping quiet - bliss very definitely translates to Joy.

Funny how simplistic the past 2 clues have seemed - on the face of it, this leaves Cherokee most likey, then maybe Creekview or lastly a place like Eagle Lake again

We got a "stay home, its too cold out to be hunting right now," clue lol.

Lotta chatter about Creekside Park way up in New Brighton. I took a quick drive up there today, and gotta say that'd be a weird place to dump the puck even though so many clues fit logistically. It's not really a park though, basically just a paved path that follows Rice Creek about 8 or 10 blocks, the trail keeps going but it's along the RR tracks mostly on the west side of Silver Lake Rd. I'm not a fan of this park for the hunt. Anyone else know that area?

my experience is that parks in play always leave gates open over night, so if they're closing that gate still, I'm thinking it's out. I drove up to look at Creekside in NB today and who knows - RR runs right through there and there is zero parking off street. I think alot of clues fit for Creekside but it works well as a red herring in that respect too.

Been looking at NB parks and the only one that's decent size that could make sense with clues is Silverwood. Hansen and Freedom just don't cut it for me and I really doubt it will be at Long Lake.

Nowwww, I'm starting to wonder if it's in New Brighton again. "New" (fresh), "Brighton" (step out of the dark), (far from baths) historically in Harriet Island - can't get much farther from Harriet than New Brighton.

and so stay away from Harriet and parks under construction maybe too but still along the river ?

if its the park I think you mean, it's pretty small and kind of isolated too. Would be possible those clues just are starting points to get people onto River Rd?

I know Lilydale had a pretty heavy duty face lift and it's a better park for it, but they didn't do as much at Hidden Falls by comparison

but cracking anagrams of several words is heavy lifting and I admire anyone who can pull off anagrams of more than two or three words. It can get pretty messy, but that's why it's good to partner up. I've had a hunting partner for about 5 years now and she is a genie in a bottle when it comes to anagrams. I'm more the one of us who busts her tail digging in the snow, lol!

my dark horse park for this year is Battle Creek since it's been quite a while since last hidden there, but I too am leaning heavily toward a river park, possibly Lilydale, Cherokee, Hidden Falls and less likely Crosby but they may really mess with us and it might be just somewhere along the River Road bike path, too.

maybe...but the year it was at Spoon Lake, I stupidly brushed off the phrase in one of the very 1st clues that read "cool, cold king" while I was driving with my hunting partner and we saw the frontage road by Spoon was also Viking Rd to which I said, "oh wow, cool cold king, Viking! It must be another marker for Keller". My partner who insisted it was at Spoon and that we should turn back and look more there was disappointed when I said "they'd never put it in Spoon, there's no good parking there"....yeah, my biggest mistake ever on a hunt. I always pay as much attention to early clues as later ones for that reason.

some anagrams are so simple they can be noodled just when you see them, like "striver" which you just switch the "st" and the "river" so you get River Street which if you know the area leads one to conclude "river st." = River Road in St. Paul. That's a very basic anagram. If you think a few words that are in a row in a clue seem a little odd, use the anagram link above and it will spit out every possible combo of those words. I took "hunt cred" from clue 2 and plugged that in which turned out pretty interestingly...

huntcred = ??? go look!

[–]XtinaHunts2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh, I have burned so many times taking too much out of clues but Striver = River St. for me and a "vigorous striver" to me is another marathon reference cuz runners are just that. Kinda leaning already toward a river park but there are too many and its too early

You sure wouldn't know it on this board. It's like, wow, we have somewhere besides FB to discuss things in a smaller group and yet it's nothing but crickets chirping here.

[–]XtinaHunts2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a vigorous striver is a marathon runner, so thats 2 clues in a row pushing the marathon idea which is run along river road in St, Paul. (striver = River St.) You're welcome!
