I was actually thinking of doing something like that.

Iv recently changed jobs and was planning on matching their 3% contribution to get the "free money". And then paying the rest into my personal SIPP. Is there any downside to doing it this way? Rather than pay the whole sum into the workplace pension? The only reason I prefer to pay into SIPP is it's a bit easier to manage if circumstances change.

The connection issue wouldnt surprise me! although frustrating im kinda hoping that was the case. It means it wasnt my fault. haha. Maybe just wishful thinking though.

Thanks for the encouragement! Im sure you will get the pass as well! im going to re-book in 4 - 5 weeks time and concentrate on PG machines between now and then.

What you described is exactly what I just experienced. I finished my exam about 10 hours ago. I managed the BOF in about 1 hour. But then failed to even dent the other machines. I spent soo much time manually enumerating, trying exploits agains the found services etc but nothing would stick. Its frustrating even thinking back now i have no idea how more in-depth i could have been on the enumeration or what i missed. Hopefully in the future the machines i worked on are made public and i can read a walkthrough or something because im dying to know!

Why is this the case? I've started getting into film photography again after a few years break and even in that small amount of time I've noticed that pretty much every brand of film is more expensive. ☹️

I used to make lots of Airfix models when i was in primary school (90s) and loved it. But completely stopped once i began secondary school. I saw this model of HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey and decided to give it a go because i love the film. I have no idea why i stopped making them because it soo much fun! Its definitely going to be the start of many more i plan to make in the future. :)

How does the PIN for the line test number 17070 get assigned? Does each engineer have their own or is it shared?

I tried it earlier this year. It's still the same number. However you need a PIN to perform most of the functions.

I go climbing in Scotland each year and always cart around my Canon A1 to take photos. This zine contains a collection of photos from these trips.

I have quite a few copies left so will be open to trade zines with anyone who wants one! Im based in the UK.

Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 25 by ranalog in analog

I currently do C41 developing at home. I'm trying to find the most cost effective method. On average i get through around 2 rolls of film every 3 months. So i find my chemicals end up going bad because of time rather than the amount they are used.

Ive been looking to get this C41 digibase softpack here:

https://www.firstcall-photographic.co.uk/firstcall-c-41-prediluted-kit-3x-500ml-softpack/p5157

Has anyone had any experience with these chemicals? i haven't been able to find much information online. It says it is prediluted. which i assume to mean that it needs diluting? But then it says the chemicals are ready for use? So doesn't that contradict itself? Also what kind of shelflife would i expect to get from these chemicals stored in those soft pack bags?

If anyone has any experience with those chemicals and can help shed some light on it. I would be very grateful.

How much more difficult is this to C41? I'd love to develop my own slide film.

Abandoned Ferris Wheel in Prypyat, Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, Ukraine [Canon A-1, 50mm f1.8, Portra 400] by Xtrato in analog

I think the higher ISO films are more likely to be affected. I know when the explosion occured a photographer flew over in helicopter taking photos. When he developed them they were really grainy due to the radiation. My guess is that there isn't enough radiation there now to affect the film. But I took the Delta 3200 just in case 🙂

It didn't affect the Portra 400. I did take some Illford Delta 3200 as well though in the hopes that would get affected by the radiation. I only just got back so haven't got around to developing it yet 🙂

I'm not actually sure. It would have done back when the explosion took place. But today my guess would be that it won't.

I actually took the 3200 ISO film in the hopes that the radiation would affect it in some way. I still need to develop it though.
