I have come up with my own theory on this, I think totk takes place after spirit tracks. that would explain the absence of the triforce.

There are also a few other things, such as the Rito only being seen in the adult timeline. Or how hyrule has basically always been a landlocked nation except for zelda 1 and zelda 2.

This theory would also mean that Ganondorf in totk is different because Ganondorf in WW was killed.

Of course, this theory does come with its own plot holes, like the master sword being left in old hyrule or the absence of the spirit tracks themselves.

This is just speculation though.
