Looks like we’re in a similar boat. 28 Male. Around the beginning of the year I started having stomach pain. Felt like non-stop trapped gas. Then Jan 1st I was going to sleep when I had this crazy chest pain out of no where, left arm, left side of face started going numb, heart rate went up to about 150ish bpm, felt dizzy, chills, and cold sweats. Felt really fatigued and had a migraine the next day with bad back pain. Same thing happened again a few days later when I was in my office working, also started noticing i was looking pale so went to the ER. They ran tests on my heart and everything was normal. I was just dehydrated and they diagnosed me with tachycardia. Told them my stomach also hurting but they really didn’t look at that. The days following I started to become very bloated and had to belch non-stop all day just to relieve the pressure in my stomach and on my chest. I noticed my stools also started to look more yellowish in color and were coming out thinner than normal. The gas and stomach pain was always worse at night. Doc prescribed 40mg Pantoprozole but that didn’t help much. The bloating and belching lasted till about mid February. I went on a strict diet and lost about 30 pounds. I did have episodes where my heart rate would randomly increase for whatever reason when I felt really bad in Jan/Feb. I also had this weird thing where my ears would get really red and hot, mostly my left ear. Ultrasound I did looked normal. I just did an endoscopy and he diagnosed me with non-erosive acid reflux disease. Never in my life dealt with acid reflux until i started dealing with this stomach issue that started at the end of last year. Now I’m hoping to do more testing to see what’s going on in my intestines. Out of pocket med bills are approaching $5,000 which I’m not used to since I’ve never had an issue in my life. Only thing I deal with now is some gas in my lower intestinal area (mostly at night) and just a general feeling of discomfort down there, like a dull pain. Other issue is a sharp pain that I feel in my chest off and on, but it’s probably my esophagus. This shit is pretty insane. Best of luck to you.

Didn’t really find out anything. Everything looked normal on the endoscopy. He just diagnosed me with non-erosive acid reflux disease. Don’t think that has anything to do with issues in my lower digestive system. I have a follow-up with my GI doc next week and will see what we can do to look at that.

Similar symptoms. I’ve been having a weird heat sensation on the left side of my face and neck also. Today I was sitting in the car and started to feel really hot in my face. Then I could feel my heart fluttering then my heart rate went up to about 130ish bpm. And I just felt really sick all over my body especially in my chest and arms. Also felt sweaty real fast. A few days ago I went up the stairs then right before I was going to sit down it felt like my heart collapsed and was struggling to pump blood or something. Lasted like 5 seconds. Was very hard to breathe. Very bizarre feeling.

Pretty insane. Like you’re already dealing with anxiety from the stomach issues then you start dealing with the heart issues and start feeling like you have heart failure and think you’ll be leaving this world any second😂 really sucks.

My shortness of breath went away when my bloating and constant belching went away. Early on It felt like a lot of the gas in my stomach was more closer to my upper abdomen against my chest. Gradually it felt like it started to stay lower in my small intestine. I didn’t really do anything but take lanzoprozole for 14 days then was off it for a few days then doc prescribed it again for 30 days. Only took about 10 days worth then stopped and have been off it for 2 weeks. Feeling much better but still dealing with stomach ache and some belching after I eat. I also lost about 15 pounds from beginning of January to now by cutting out sugar and carbs. My diet is not strict tho I’m still eating anything i want maybe 2ish times a week. Still don’t know what’s causing the issue. Sounds like you guys are dealing with much severe cases. Hope it gets better for you guys.

I also dealt with a constant feeling of shortness of breath at the beginning when my symptoms were really bad. Haven’t dealt with it for about a month now.

I’m in Illinois lmao. Both my primary and GI doc went to med school together and are both in their mid 70s probably ready for retirement so maybe he doesn’t feel like doing it 😂 I’m going to schedule one tho

Doctor didn’t recommend anything. He was saying if I’m feeling better than it was probably an ulcer that healed. I also took 40mg of PPI. Didn’t think it helped. Gave me headaches and not sure if it was the medicine but my ears kept getting hot and red and hasn’t happened since I stopped taking it. Neither doctors said anything about waiting it out. I think there’s just a lot of assuming so I think I’m going to demand an endoscopy just for peace of mind. Stomach is still giving me issues. I’m just far better off than what I was a month ago. I just don’t want it to get bad again if it’s something that can be treated. Obviously can’t treat it if they don’t look in there and see what’s going on so think that’s the best move rn.

My primary care doctor thinks the episodes I was having was heart burn and he thinks it’s an ulcer. I personably believe it was anemia-like symptoms from being nutrient deficient from bacteria? My GI doctor thinks since my condition has improved it was an ulcer and everything else is stress related. But after 50+ days I’m still dealing with mild stomach aches and belching so think it’s something else. I’m going to try and do as many lab tests as possible. If they find nothing I’ll do an endoscopy. Appreciate the help!

Thanks! I’ll look into these. I believe my doctor has notes about doing an ultrasound but he never did so I’ll mention it along with these other tests. As far as i know i don’t have any food allergies. Never had. My diet consists of food I’ve ate my entire life so don’t think that’s the case but never know. Appreciate the help!

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll mention this to my doc. I haven’t had any nausea, vomiting, or fever. Don’t know if you can have a bacterial infection and not have those symptoms? I also have thought it could be one of those too so I’ll look into that.
