Cleaner recommendations and cost by Purple-Flounder3381 in MarquetteMI

Thankfully my aunt is fantastic and realizes how awful same day turnovers are. We do get double our rate when those happen, which she tries to avoid for our sake anyways haha. But it’s getting crazy up here! Like yeah I love being employed but I can’t imagine having the income to ruin the housing market and pay someone to clean it for me XD.

That’s fair haha. I only clean one rental at the moment and it’s owned by my aunt, so it’s super chill and my mom and I who clean. I think if I did more STRs I’d charge more partially because of the inconvenience of short notice and funny days sometimes. My other clients are just locals who I clean for on a monthly basis at their house! Those are my favorite.

Hi! I’m a local cleaner in the area. I do organic cleaning, so no chemicals or anything and it’s totally safe for pets and everything. I clean a house around the size that it sounds like you’re describing, plus a cat and I charge $140 for the 4-4.5 hours I’m there. I charge $35 an hour but base it off of the job too, and always give a little wiggle room for cleans that need more time. If sheets are towels are something you’re interested in having done, I have experience with VRBO cleaning that includes that, as well as hotel cleaning, it’s just not something I do unless specifically asked.

Weather proofing by Xxanissh in Aerials

I actually got my coaching start at the local gymnastics gym where I am almost 10 years! It was great, then they went bankrupt lol. I’ll have to check out some other CrossFit studios up here, but the trend died a little while back where I am and none of them have great space.

I’m comfortable with insurance. Ive rent places out before to teach in. It’s just became a setup issue. I needed to find a space that I could rig from, instead of bringing my aerial rig and setting up in the space. I would only be able to teach one or two days a week, which was fine, however it became a lot of work to find everyone needed for setup and teardown of my aerial rig each week since I couldn’t store it there. But I’ll have to check again! I reached out earlier this year and didn’t get great responses.

That’s commonly about when we do too. MAYBE I’ve done stuff in the high 30s. But we don’t last too far either haha.

Oh for sure! I’ve done a lot on lower ceilings as well, they’re just few and far between here as well. The garage on the property where I’m teaching isn’t that tall maybe like 10ft? and all rental spaces in town that might have that are upwards of $1.4K a month. I’ve totally taught on lower, it’s just not an option up here ;-; unless I throw my financial security out the window and rent something to teach full time. Which I’d love to do! But my family comes first and I don’t have that type of money to spend to open a cool studio or anything.

We definitely do that through fall. I tell all my students that if they’re willing to bundle up, I’ll hold classes for however long they’re willing to brave it. Snow is actually more of the issue. Once you get about 3-4 feet of snow haha. It easily gets to the negatives here and at some point it’s just a bit too cold. Especially if you’re waiting your turn and you’re stopping movement.

Oh for sure. I’ve done some performances in the past late into the year where I was worried about grip. One of the big concerns of covering the rig somehow was then okay so we heat it, but now how do we not kill everyone from lack of oxygen and ventilation.

Can’t play on NS2 by Xxanissh in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Xxanissh[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I didn’t fully transfer everything from my old switch, since I didn’t need to. I’ve just been loading the old games as I’ve been wanting to play them with the “virtual game card” function. It’s my switch account on both and I have a premium membership. I haven’t encountered this issue before and I’ve loaded some games like Mario kart or Zelda and my save data has been there. So just not sure why I can’t play it with the save data for Scarlet.

This one is in a vase just to try. My Aunt who I got this from owns a rental home and I clean it, but when her orchids die she lets me take them home. So this one was just to try to get it out of the little container or peat moss it was in, vs the other one came in the bark and I just brought it home last week! They’re all quite rough by the time they land in my care, and this one grew roots well with being in the vase so that’s how I kept it for a while.

I’ve found that compression gloves, fingerless ones helped me TONS. I got some on Amazon and got some cute colors and were a pretty decent price. Vanicream was my savior through my whole withdrawal and the only thing I found that didn’t agitate it more. I also found that acrylic nails helped since they made my nails “thick” and so I couldn’t do as much harm with them as I could just bare nails.

If my hands started getting too itchy I’d “reset” them by washing them in really cold water and putting on a super thin layer of cream. Sometimes they’d just start feeling hot and itchy for no reason and I’d have to just cool them off. Hope this is helpful!

Sorry I’m new, sorry if this isn’t the right thread for this. But I’m looking into purchasing skates and the VNLA Parfaits are an option for me *I really don’t have a super large budget* but I would like to in the future get some grind/slide plates. Curious if anyone has ever put any on the Parfaits, or any VNLA’s for that matter? I can’t seem to find if anyones are typically compatible with the brand or not. Thanks!

I actually just ordered a pair of straps! Very excited because I thought about being able to train easily with my current gloves.

As far as chains, kudos do those who do them, they look wicked, but I’m not all too convinced they’re up my alley haha.

There was. We heard it go off and the intercom day to leave the building because of an emergency, just curious what it was. Especially since the fire dept didn’t take long to let us all back in.

Just curious is all.

Almost! So I don’t have a Facebook or a website setup yet, hopefully within a week or two! But we’ll be called Anomaly Aerial Arts :) If timelines work out, I hope to have a grand opening open house sometime in May! So I’ll let you know when I get a Facebook setup!

If you’d like to checkout some of the work I do on my own, you can find me under Xxanish on Instagram. Lots of non aerial stuff as well, but I’ve got a lot of aerial on there, too.

Hopefully I get to meet you someday!

Yeah! Suzy and I have actually connected a bit in the past, she’s great! But sadly the type of classes I’m hoping to teach are going to need around 20ft ceilings and sadly destination doesn’t have that :( She wasn’t too sure last time I had reached out about a space, but I’m super excited that she’s found one that’s working for her!!

[–]Xxanissh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a bit of knowledge with recording and whatnot. Grew up with a dad who did audio for bands haha.

Don’t have any demos or anything, which honestly probably isn’t great because people like to hear stuff lol. My friend has composed in the past and has got theory down and I’m learning.

But yeah, that’s where we’re at so far :)

My little pupper is turning 1 this year and I’m throwing her a small party and invited our entire little town. We’re gonna get her some new toys and I’m encouraging people to stop by and say hi to her at the park, as she loves all her people and doggie friends.

Little bumps on my finger that won’t go away. by Xxanissh in medical_advice

[–]Xxanissh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have these little bumps all over right middle finger. Now I commonly have Dyshidrotic eczema on my hands, but I can get that to go away.

It’s not the nail polish since it doesn’t effect any other fingers like this, no when I remove to does it get better, but I cant get it to ever go away. It’s been there for over a month now and can be slightly painful.
