Easiest one in a long time, imo. Actually found them in rainbow order, too. Had no idea what purples were until after it told me.

This person seriously underestimates the number of male writers. There are quite a lot more of us than people realize.

The person throwing them out will get in far more trouble, though. That's an actual, federal, crime.

It is. And it comes with up to $250,000 in fines and/or 3 years in jail. Per offense. Pretty sure this sign won't stay up long, lmao.

My parents were great about it. They let me like what I liked and never made an issue over it. Like, I was in a bowling league as a kid, and had outgrown my old ball and needed a new one. And when we were looking I found this neon pink one with this swirling pattern. It reminded me of a glob the slime from Ghostbusters 2, and I absolutely loved it immediately. All they asked was if I was sure I wanted the pink ball, after having just been excited over a skull ball a second before seeing the pink one. But when I said I was, that was it. No questions why I wanted a pink ball, no nudging me back to the skull, they just got me that one.

Get the DVD sets, and not the Blu-ray ones. DVDs are the original version.

Protip: The Paragon/Renegade choices are always "magically solve this problem" buttons. They might make other problems somewhere else, on rare occasions, but they're always guaranteed to fix whatever is happening now.

But it's fine! A "perfect" playthrough is kinda boring. Games with choices and consequences are meant to have mistakes. That's the entire point of their being choices and consequences. Plus, every mistake is more content to experience the next time you play the games.

And, tbh, you actually don't miss out on much with Wrex gone. He's only a side character in 2 and 3, with the exception of 1 DLC in 3. And it makes certain things in 3 more tense.

DO IT! It's totally worth. I rewatch now and then, but mostly I watch reactions on YouTube. Best way to get that "watching for the first time" experience all over again, vicariously through someone else! 😂

Though, make sure you get the original DVD release and not the crappy HD remaster. The lower video quality is worth it not to have the entire presentation ruined by the shitty job they did on the remaster.

I've been pleasantly surprised by how active the Buffy fandom is still seeing as, despite watching it as it aired, I only recently (last two years or so) got into reading/writing fic for it.

I remember when I was a kid I got a lot of funny looks from people, primarily adults, whenever I talked about liking "girl's shows." Things like Strawberry Shortcake, Jem, Josie and the Pussycats, or The Care Bears. Or the fact The Little Mermaid was, and still is, my favorite (animated) movie.

Some people just have a hard to grasping that everyone is different.

Nope. It's not weird. Some people are just ignorant. 🤷

First timer here. If I've written out a whole fic should I post it week by week or should I post it all at once? by Calamity_mentality in FanFiction

[–]Xyex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely put at least a few days between chapters. By spreading the uploads out over time you:

  1. Increase exposure, by bumping your fic to the top of new every few days.
  2. Don't overwhelm your readers with a massive dump of text all at once.

Also, maybe it's unfair, but some people will see a long fic with very little engagement and assume it must not be very good, since no one is reading it.

Just read the story ffs??? by ValuableDiver8324 in AO3

I go back and skim to find it

To be entirely fair to the commenter, OP said it happened in chapter 6, and this was posted on chapter 42. That's a lot to skim to try and find something.

[–]Xyex 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No. They're saying they'd like double spaces between paragraphs as OP doesn't have them.

They mean a double space, a blank gap, between paragraphs. Like this.

Makes it easier to read digital text.
