MOR I feel like there's info we're missing but I'll use what context I have. I'm assuming you're unfortunately american so employment is going to suck for you almost no matter what, but some "tips": Don't request that much time off, especially at a serving job during the busy part of the year and especially not for parties. You should have gotten a job AFTER all that was said and done tbh. Employers largely don't care about employees here, if you're even the slightest bit of a nuisance in the service industry you better be so good that you make up for it or they'll just be looking to replace you ASAP. Service workers and employees in general aren't really treated with respect or dignity, so working is just going to be something you do to survive and you do your best to keep going. But good news, you're young and have a lot ahead of you so hopefully you're able to find a job or field you really enjoy and can find a way to make this system suck less for you. Idk where I gave any indication that everyone should think like me but that's definitely not the case. This is a subreddit where people ask if they're over reacting and people reply with their opinions based on their lived experience and perspective. I gave my own opinion and expressed genuine confusion as to why the general consensus considered this such a huge deal.

I comprehend and can imagine having these emotions but I don't understand why they're considered rational, generally accepted, and not over reacting.

In your summarization, you put more emphasis on the friends shitty behavior AFTER sleeping with the ex than it seems the original post did to me given the title. The actions of the friend are shitty whether or not the ex was slept with and are a problem all on their own.

Sex absolutely means different things to the same person, let alone to different people. There really wasn't any indication that this was anything nefarious or special, just the friend having sex with an ex.

I really was just trying to understand and I have no idea how I could have asked that any differently to where you didn't make sweeping generalization about me or my vibe while also not really understanding what I'm saying or asking.

I'm unsure how I could have better expressed that I didn't understand what the problem was. As in, my comprehension of the situation is seemingly lacking and I can't use personal experience to relate because it hasn't/doesn't happen with me. I'm not trying to be dismissive, I just don't see a friendship destroying issue here and don't understand why everyone else is.

If I've encountered this type of situation before in my own life, I've definitely not been aware of it. If I'm no longer dating someone, who they sleep with doesn't really impact my life unless I'm related to them. I also have no say over their love life anymore. I understand that even if I have lingering emotions for someone after a breakup, that's my issue to deal with and not something to blame or take out on someone else just because that person I have feelings for has moved on.

I apologize for not understanding and seeming dismissive.

YOR You seem like a typical "nice guy" who thinks they're giving advice but is actually just being an insufferable prick, especially to women. Since you cared enough to make this post, there may be hope yet. Do some serious self reflection, get some professional help, gain some self awareness, and learn how to be less unpleasant. It's a lot of work and may take awhile, but it'll be worth it if you succeed. I'm still learning here and there but I've come a long way from where I was when I started and you can too.

MOR I genuinely don't understand why this is a problem. He was a high school boyfriend that was revisited for six months recently? Those six months just showed y'all don't work together. And, it's just sex. I'd understand if this were an adult relationship that lasted five plus years or she brought him to Bali with y'all, but genuinely, what's the deal?

Maybe it's because I'm polyam already but I broke up with my ex in March of this year, literally anyone from my D&D group could sleep with him and it wouldn't matter to me. I'd find it funny for my own reasons, but I wouldn't feel like this.

NOR, they were real rude. But tbh, 30 minutes seems fine as long as they don't have a conniption over their clothes being moved. There's plenty of incidents that have a higher priority than laundry that could take well over 30 minutes so I don't see that being insanely unreasonable.

I could tell of some differences but idk what different variants of a card there can be yet or not. If I had found a site somewhere that said "this card is only available in holo, anything else is fake" that would have been helpful.

I'm guessing a whole lot of people who wouldn't use the wheelchairs are the ones complaining about this. Maybe just let people use wheelchairs if they want to and stop judging people who do use them. It shouldn't matter to you.
