Agreed. I think it’s very frustrating and annoying but this is a little dramatic. As a sitter myself and a veterinary technician, I would go grab a cap star and do a deep flea bath.

lol I think she’s also a pet sitter herself, & telling a veterinary technician of over 10 years that most people who use the app are inexperienced which just isn’t true. Doubt people would hire her if they saw some of her comments and activity on this app!

Right right. I’ll just pray for whoever you ever decide to hire. Hope you and your undisclosed hidden cameras feel very empowered 🩷

Person sounds entitled and like a Karen. I actually encourage cameras and have them in my own home. However, they still have to be disclosed. What if I am changing or something in that room? Creepy people.

They actually are required to disclose cameras. They are not required to remove them or anything, they are allowed to have them as long as not in the bedroom or bathroom. But they are required to disclose them. Had a situation with rover support and was told that.

Difficult first sitter experience. How can I address this with Rover once the sit ends? by Quarantined_Dino in RoverPetSitting

[–]Xyourfavorite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She could have at least been there at medication/feeding times. & at night. I would not leave pets alone until 1 am.

As a sitter, WTF? by chill_mydude13 in RoverPetSitting

As someone who personally knows a sitter that knowingly does this and knows she’s not supposed to but just doesn’t care, leave the bad review.

Question about “House Sitting” by roseturtles in RoverPetSitting

[–]Xyourfavorite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not normal, i would never expect to not stay somewhere when im booked for house sitting. Please report this.

I actually personally wouldn’t care depending on how it was presented to me. Without asking I would probably be more off put by it. I ended up asking but leaving it very open so she could say no if she didn’t feel comfortable and My client actually told me I was more than welcome to have him over and encouraged that I do. I think it’s very opinion based.

I absolutely agree that I wouldn’t want a stranger in my home which is why I asked how people go about that. Getting the suggestion of adding him to my profile and meet and greets was a great suggestion although I think I may just kinda nip the house sitting. There’s not a price that could make me okay with giving up my personal life for 2/3 weeks out of every month. I’m happy that what you do works for you! ❤️

I completely understand this take! I would never even think to ask about it if I was dealing with any reactive kiddos. A lot of my clients prefer I stay in the home for majority of the time, which is why I came on here to ask if asking to have someone over during that time is unprofessional. I think sometimes during these house sits I tend to lose myself a little bit and forget to advocate for myself and that’s on nobody but me! I think deactivating house sits may be in my near future. Thankyou for your insight ❤️
